    • DIY kit to help tighten clearance which increases efficiency of snow blower
My impeller blade is made out of molded plastic, which is thicker than sheet metal. That means the included bolts were not long enough to go through and attach the nut on the other side. The bolts would only be long enough if your mounting surface is flat and about 1/8” thick. My impeller is flat on one side and curved on the other. I was able to purchase longer bolts and still use the rest of the equipment. Like most things, different equipment has different specifications, so it’s not unusual to need to modify things to meet your needs. With this set, and my modifications, I was able to close my gap down to a tighter tolerance. We were already towards the end of our snow season, so I didn’t get to try out the blower too much after installing the new parts, but with the little I did operate our blower it did seem to blow the snow further. ... show more

I wanted to like this kit but some hardware is missing. The hardware does seem to be good quality.
