Description

More than just a life story – a journal that deepens and heals. This journal allows mothers to share personal stories, family history, and hopes and advice with their sons, offering an invaluable way to preserve memories and foster connection. It’s curated in a relationship-centered way that also incites intergenerational healing and connection, building a lasting legacy for future generations. Meaningful Prompts for Mothers to Share With questions crafted to both document family history and inspire meaningful reflections for Mom, such as: "What words come to mind when you think of your grandparents?” "How do you define success?” "If you could choose your last words to me, what would they be?” With carefully and intentionally designed prompts, this journal becomes more than a book—it’s a tool of connection, meaning-making, and is helpful even when relationships between adult children and their parents are complex. With a wide variety of questions and ample writing space for each prompt, Mom can share her full story with ease – going as emotionally deep or staying as light-hearted as she desires. For Moms of All Ages and Stages Whether it’s a new mom writing to her baby boy, a mom of an increasingly independent son, or the mother of an adult child looking to foster connection, share her legacy, or even heal the mother/son relationship, this journal is a powerful tool for building lasting bonds and preserving memories. A Thoughtful Keepsake Whether you're seeking a Christmas or holiday gift, a baby shower gift for a new mom, or a meaningful present for aging parents, this journal is a gift for both the mom writing and the son who will eventually receive it. Available in both hardcover and softcover formats, this journal is beautifully designed to become a keepsake passed down for generations. It offers an easy window to connection and meaning for mothers and sons of all ages and stages. A Gift of Handwritten Stories and Meaningful Conversations Whether Mom fills out the journal herself, giving the unique gift of a handwritten keepsake, someone asks her the questions and transcribes her answers, or it’s used to start deep, meaningful family conversations around the dinner table, the journal will always be a gateway to sharing stories, laughter, and memories. Order today and begin asking, answering, and connecting: this family heirloom only appreciates with time. Read more

  • Looks like a great book
Looks like a great book. Unfortunately it was too late and my mom never got to writing in it…

  • Covers a variety of topics
There are some very thought provoking questions in here on a variety of topics and hopefully one day, my kids will be able to use this to gain more insight into me as well as themselves. I also think it's a nice way to document information just in case anything were to happen to me.

  • Preserving the answers
I loved gifting this journal! It is always a pleasure seeing peoples faces light up when they realize what a unique opportunity they have been handed.

  • Thoughtful questions and the perfect way to capture your story
I bought this bc I fear not being able to record my memories and hopes for my 5 yr old. The entries are so thoughtful and when I think about the way/things I want to know and remember about my own mom, this is exactly it!

  • Need some time for this one, might be what you want.
I have incurable cancer and wanted something I could complete for each child. I am not going to have the time or energy for this one. Although it is great for someone that has time left, I was looking for something with a little less writing involved. Any suggestions? Thanks! Maybe digital??? God/faith would be welcome too. Again, this is a nice book to convey info if you have time. ... show more

  • So Excited for the Mother-Son Edition!
As the mother of two boys, I was so excited to get my hands on the mother-son edition of this book! I am completing one for each of them. The simple act of filling this out is helping me reflect and be more present in my day to day interactions with them even now. I'm a person who finds the blank page completely overwhelming so I love having the thoughtful prompts as a guide and jumping off point to get words on paper. In a time when we are constantly reminded of our mortality, the idea of creating something lasting with my words that my boys will have forever is deeply reassuring. Maybe they won't turn out nostalgic or sentimental like me (a mom can dream!) but they will have this just in case! ... show more

  • Well thought out , thought provoking and enlightening for both the person writing and child reading.
The book is divided into well thought out chapters, and will offer much insight to the son or daughter who reads it. Love this idea- there are so many things I wished I had asked both my mom and dad before they passed. Also, as the person who will be answering the questions in the book, I find them thought provoking and enlightening, too. I think the author, Melissa Pennell, has done a wonderful job. ... show more
