This comes with so many pieces. The directions are a complete joke, as it’s ONLY pictures and all the pictures show multiple steps in one picture. NO written directions at all. As for my photo, some of the pieces have massive screws that you can only use an allen wrench on and the screws are so big and so tight that the allen wrench strips it out once you get it almost in. You have to get them ALL the way in to draw the pieces together I gave it 2 stars because it looks like if we can find a way to finish it, it will be pretty. Been working on it for 3 nights so far and ONLY have the frame of the dresser done. It is unimaginably difficult to assemble with no clear directions. DO NOT BUY THIS!!!! ... show more

I took a huge chance on this purchase since there was not a lot of reviews and frankly most of the amazon murphy beds didn't have many reviews. Happy to say that I have liked it so far. I put it together by myself in about 2.5 hours. It does take a lot of time and space to focus and put together. Since it was just myself, I built it in the place it was going to go. Pro tip: Use a hex drill bit and a drill to assemble or your will hate your life trying to do it all by hand. Once I switched to the drill, it was a breeze to put together. Looks good and works well. Putting this thing together took a really long time, mostly because about half the holes were not where they should have been. I took a picture of the locking mechanism (which is very flimsy) to show just two of the pilot holes that were wrong. The lock didn't even reach the clasp when it was in those holes. The cabinet is very heavy and bows in the middle so one person has to tilt it back in order for the drawer to move in or out. Also, some of the stickers were on the side where they show and they are permanent stickers I think. I tried rubbing the sticker off and just managed to ruin the finish. And finally, the middle section has no support. The drawer is not tall enough for the panel to lay on it for support. I just hope nobody gets hurt on it. ... show more

Got the queen size for a spare bed. Bought a 4" trifold mattress to go with it, and so far so good. It folds right out without a lot of fuss. I added a 2" memory foam and feather bed topper and it fits in the cabinet fine. The bed comes in a bunch of parts, but wasn't too bad putting it together. The instructions are minimal and the biggest issue I had is knowing how to orient the pieces. Not a lot of detail in the little diagrams, and some of the holes didn't quite line up. It took a few hours, so plan accordingly. I did it myself (5'3 female), until it was almost finished, then had to get help moving it to the room. It's super heavy. So that's 1 recommendation, put it together where it will be, if possible, or plan to move it before you finish. Next recommendation, use a drill with Allen wrench bit. I bought a set off of here for like 10 bucks and it is a lifesaver! There's no way in hell I'd have done this with the little hand wrench it comes with, and using the drill helps with the misaligned holes. Finished product looks nice and seems to be sturdy. I have tried it out a couple of nights and I will say this, it's a sleeping bed. It works just fine for that purpose. I can't say that it would hold up to very much bedroom roughhousing or monkey business, if you catch my drift. Also be sure to check the weight limit. Very nice piece, was a little hairy putting it together as a few pieces weren't labeled but i figured it out. It looks nice when its not in use and you the trifold mattress is comfy (bought separately) . Very happy with this

This murphy bed is the vain of my existence. The instructions are very busy and hard to see what you are supposed to do. Many parts are missing numbers so you have to guess if that’s the correct piece. The back parts do not fit properly so that the top won’t fit correctly either. Definitely don’t put this together all by yourself because you’ll break your back and scream for hours. the legs are too short length wise to fit properly where the screws are supposed to go. There are random holes in the “drawer” pieces which don’t make sense. All in all the pieces don’t match up and it is terrible to put together because of this. May not be very safe because of this as well. ... show more

Go ahead and try to make this with no Manuel. Tried to call their customer service number and it is a non working number. Add to that it is not completely made of pine. Lots of partical board. Completely unhappy with the product and the company Still waiting for them to contact me.

Before anyone judges I assemble things constantly. As I have a handyman business, but this specific item literally has the worst instructions I’ve ever seen. Quality doesn’t seem “terrible “ concept seems good. Item was bought for an office space . But have yet to have someone sleep on it yet. Will post an update then ... show more
