This punching target is great for kids to shed some excess energy while having safe fun. The target spins and bobs and is an entertaining workout for them that easily fits indoors or outdoors! Setup was easy and fast, though if you have a gentle electric inflator for such things as air mattresses, it will be easier to use that vs the included Hand Pump, which also works well but takes a bit longer to do. If you have a few kids, you may want to accessorize with different-sized boxing gloves and teach them to stay out of each other's way when one of them is striking the target so as to minimize accidental punches. I recently started my 11-year-old son in karate and when I saw this, I knew he would love it! I was not wrong. It is fun for kids and assembly only took about seven minutes. My kids are very rambunctious and can tear up something like a punching bag within the first couple of times playing with it. I'm not proud of this but I'm not exaggerating either. So seeing this I was a bit apprehensive about getting it for my boys bc I dont like to waste my money! Luckily, this is from a brand that has taken pride in their product and made a high quality bag! The top half will spin once your child makes contact with the target. The bottom half stays in position and if set up correctly and weighted down with water and air r will stabilize the entire bag and your kids can go to town on it. I was very surprised to see my boys really give it their all and for hours at that, without causing any damage. This was not only a first but probably proves to be one of.the best purchases I've ever made for my kids. No lie!! They absolutely love it. To find something that can get them exercising and off their phones, outside and active is such an important thing these days. So glad I found it. A huge win for this Mom!! Highly highly recommend. I got this instead of an actual punching bag since it would be a small child using it at the start of their martial arts journey. I like that this comes with all the basic needs to get you going. That aside until you fill it up with water or sand It isn't super usable. Water is convenient but can get messy if/when a leak appears so I would recommend the sand option since it tends to be an easier cleanup with less damage. The top spinner part is a nice touch and does allow for a little more active activity. I've had some of these in the past and they do wear out but as a beginning item for a child, this is a good starting point. ... show more

My 4 year old wanted a punching bag for Christmas, and this one looked more entertaining and fun than the plain Jane versions. It seems to be made of a thicker material that won't pop easily when he inevitably tackles it or hits it with a sword or something. It's got a good sized base to hold it in place and I think he'll have fun with it ... show more

It's larger than me...I'm 5'6''. My son and boyfriend love playing with it. It comes with boxing gloves and a cute note to the parents and the child. I thought that was a nice touch. There are fabric stickers if there is a hole that pops up in your toy. I like that it came with the pump and it didn't take long to pump up at all - 10 minutes at most for me. I like that you can also fill the base with water (highly recommend). My son is 3 and enjoys it.
