While recovering from abdominal surgery I needed some compression to stand straight or walk properly. It gave me that. It's comfortable and easy to use when you get the hang of it. I do love that it can grip anywhere instead of select places. Spots of the fabric can look a bit rough after a while but it does indeed still grip just fine. I also appreciate the mesh bag and strip to cover the velcro. It's great for moving around the house or doing light chores. However, sitting is an issue. It does roll, a lot. I sized properly, based on the measurements but both ends pulled to the waist and it would need to be completely readjusted when standing again. It felt like it dug in and started to hurt before I removed it. Although the later was more likely due to the big ole vertical incision across my abdomen. If you don't have a wound crossing your waist it likely wouldn't hurt, just be annoying. Still, for the price it isn't bad and I'll still be using it. Of the options I have, it's the quickest and easiest to get on and off. So I'll pop it on over my shirt, do what I need and pull it off when I relax again. I have been fighting an umbilical hernia for several months trying to postpone surgery. I have tried several devices and this is one of the better fitting ones. I am a large man 6'7" tall and 320 lbs with a 50 inch waist so I am hard to fit. Customer service here is excellent and willing to help you any way they can. Three weeks after breaking eight ribs and a shoulder blade I ordered this from Amazon It shipped in two days and really helps while moving around and sitting. I'm still not comfortable laying down so have been sleeping in my recliner. This binder is easier to put on since it doesn't have extra straps, etc. Would recommend it over a lot of others that I looked at and the first one I bought. Good sturdy product. ... show more

This band is comfortable and easy to use. The only reason it isn’t 5 star is because after 2 weeks of use it is struggling to keep the valcro sticking. Otherwise I LOVE it. I would buy again if there was ever a need!

I have worn this now for 24 hours and am very happy with it. I had an incisional hernia with bowel blockage in May. As I am losing weight my abdomen is dragging more and causing the sight to hurt quite a bit. This brace gives excellent support and stops the discomfort and hopefully helps to keep the hernia from returning too quickly. This band has been one of my best friends in recovery from gallbladder surgery. I love that the velcro clings all over, so sizing isn't an issue. My only thing with it is that it tends to fold and bunch on the back at night, making it a bit uncomfortable, but I still keep this on almost 24/7.
