  • Works Great With Cakewalk Sonar, no hassle setups.
Size: QCon Pro G2 Main Unit
Once I finally got to spend some time with the DAW controller. I like it more and more everyday. I do use Cakewalk by Bandlab, Sonar for my recordings. I did not have any struggle setting this item up for my use! The touchie feel of the faders is very nice. The feedback metering was great too. So many different default DAWs to work with in the menus, it was so easy! I wish I would have purchased this a few years ago, its worth every $$. I Loved the price range for this one. The newer ones are out though, but I am so satisfied with one. I can only brag and feel amped up using it. Good luck to others in the discovery of the lastest DAW controllers. They are so COOL! I`m having a great time with mine. ... show more

  • It just works, all the time.
Size: QCon Pro G2 Main Unit
I bought one of these to act as a tactile mixing facility to my Mac Pro & Logic X. It works out of the box. Just plugged it in, and followed some really simple instructions to have Logic recognize it, and it works. I've had it for about a year now, and use it about 4 times a week. Never had an issue. It is very accurate and I really love the transport controls. The shuttle wheel is really accurate with Logic. If it wasn't that I already had a 32 channel hybrid mixing studio, I'd just keep adding more of these to make up a full desk. But one works just great. Also they are not the smallest units but are made of steel and solid. I'd highly recommend this to anyone looking to add tactile mixing to their digital rigs. ... show more

  • This thing is amazing!
Size: QCon Pro G2 Main Unit
I do a lot of mixing on my computer as well as production and I use this every single time i open FL Studio now. It speeds up my workflow quite a bit and i just love being able to change volume without clicking with a mouse. Would definitely recommend. When i first got it there was a high pitched sound coming from it. I contacted support and they got back to me pretty quickly with a solution. Basically, my faders weren't getting enough power, so I changed some settings and it fixed it! Works very well now. 😁 ... show more

  • Perfect for my home studio
Size: QCon Pro G2 Main Unit
I originally purchased the Presonus Faderport 8 since I use Studio One. However, I didn’t like how the sliders/faders were close to each other. Also, no dedicated master fader. The QCon just has that professional feel to it. It much larger than the faderport. I love how the digital display is super easy to read the way it’s angled. This fits perfectly in my studio setup. ... show more

  • Good, not perfect
Size: QCon Pro G2 Main Unit
I'm just getting to know my way around this piece of gear. For the most part it does what it should, which is control my DAW. It was easy to set-up and worked out of the box with minimal configuration. 2 things that irk me, though. Using the faders to control the DAW in touch mode is less than ideal. For short quick throws it doesn't register. For bigger moves you have to fight against the servos so instead of a nice clean set of points in the automation lane you get a square wave of points as the servos keep trying to return the fader and I keep pressure on it to keep it where I want it. I'm hoping that a sensitivity adjustment will help this but I haven't got around to testing yet. The other is that (in Reaper anyway) the qCon shows files that have been hidden in the DAW and doesn't collapse folders. So I can clean up the visible tracks in Reaper, but they all show in the qCon meaning that the visual representation is off, and you have to scroll through too many tracks to get where you need to be. Not the end of the world, but not helping my workflow as I hoped it might. ... show more

  • Do you really need this? Probably not.
Size: QCon Pro G2 Main Unit
I recently got the QCon Pro G2 8-channel because of all the great YouTube videos about it. I got it all set up, made it work and learned how to use it. I use Logic with primarily soft synths. I found having the control surface was an obstacle to my well tuned work flow. It's certainly neat, it's cool to look and I can show it off to my friends, but was it useful? Nope. If I wanted to get anything done quickly without hassle, my pair of 4k monitors and a mouse is fine. The only advantage was the ability to have your fingers on more than one fader and never once did I need that. When I write automation data, I just draw it in with the mouse and get precisely what I need or use the mouse on a virtual fader and do it that way. Using the control surface was slow and clumsy in my opinion. The names of tracks as they appear on the little screen are truncated in the middle, so you get to decipher each name when you look at it, that takes time. Also, big disadvantage, Cats. I have two and they have free run of the studio. They like walking on the control surface and then all hell breaks loose. Plus I found the scrub wheel of the QCon Pro G2 to be useless, going backwards would knock you right to the top of the sequence. Also, the faders were always not responding to read correctly, and they make noise when they move, they move in a staggering step motion, not smooth on long fades. I had to turn it off when I was doing quiet listening. So, I returned it. You may love it, it's built like a tank, and not a Russian Tank, a NATO tank. If you use Logic, get an iPad and use the virtual Logic control surface, that rocks. ... show more
