I like this kind of cat litter way better than normal cat litter. It doesn’t track. I like that you can see the cats health depending on their urine and it changes color in the litter. There is only dust when you’re cleaning it but it’s not bad. I like that it doesn’t clump and you just clean the solids out so it lasts longer than normal cat litter.     • Cheaper and covers smell better
I've been a pretty litter user for a few years now, however after the first use of this I'm re-buying the tidy cats. The price point is about 7 dollars less in my area, it soaks up the urine better. The smell is far far less than it is with pretty litter. Even cleaning out at the end of the litter cycle is so much easier. This will only be my second bag of tidy cats so if anything changes I'll update but after one bag I'm willing to give it a switch. ... show more

I recently adopted a kitten for the first time in YEARS. And one of the reasons why I had hesitated for so long was due to my health issues and NOT LOVING The “litter box” scenario. I had heard of “pretty litter” but it is way above my price range. When I came across THIS litter. I’d never heard of it before.. I just happened to come across it in passing and I’m SO GLAD I did!! I’ve been using this litter since we brought our kitten home; about a month ago, and to be completely honest, I can’t even smell the litter AT ALL- and since I’m hearing impaired, my sense of smell is EXTREMELY HEIGHTENED. As long as I remove the cat ”poops” daily, no one in our home, whether they live here or not, or visiting can smell the litter box! I am ABSOLUTELY AMAZED!! I bought this for my brother's cat who seemed kind of sick. Much to my brothers delight, none of the litter changed color. The cat took about a day to get used to the new litter. The price was right and the results were great for all. meow!

    • Very dusty but works.
This was the first crystal liter I tried. It was really dusty but worked well. I did get a weird bag with discolored spots. Amazon issued a refund for it. I did try a different brand. I am really happy I gave blue tidy cats crystals a try. It is cheap and not dusty. I wasn’t sure if my cats would mind the bigger crystals. So I switched 1/2 and 1/2. Then the next change I put 2 liter pans with the blue liter and one with the old liter. My cats even prefer the blue liter. So glad I switched. I have been using PetSafe Scoop Free crystal cat litter for several years, but this is so much better. It is not too dusty, doesn't track all over the place. It nice to be able to monitor my cats health as well. It also doesn't get stuck in my cat's paws like the bigger crystals did but works just like those crystals. There is no lingering odor. The texture and size mimics sand. My cat had the option of both types of litter because I wanted to see what he preferred and Purina Tidy Cat was the winner. ... show more

    • After giving it a chance - not worth the extra money or effort.
This litter gets stuck in my cats paws, even though I have two carpets next to the litter boxes. The urine is all through the crystals and that is not as sanitary as regular clumping litter. With that, you can scoop the urine out.) Consequently, it smells much more of urine than regular clumping litter.
