I was a little concerned about the reviews when trying to decide to order. I don't understand these negative reviews at all. I fell in love with down pillows when working a job that kept me out of town and living out of hotels. To be able to squish and squash my pillow in the desired shape and then have it mold to my head and neck and remain that way was just so addictive, so comfortable, sleep quality was greatly increased. So, I started looking for down pillows for my bed. I tried local stores, searched the internet, read reviews and articles but, I was so disappointed that down pillows were so far out of my budget. I just could not bring myself to pay those prices for pillows when down alternatives were so much cheaper! So for over a year now I have slept on down alternatives, which have had to be replaced twice because they go flat, while dreaming of real down. I needed to replace pillows again, I thought about how much money I had spent in pillows over the last year and realized that I should just go ahead, bite the bullet, and buy some expensive down pillows. Jumped on Amazon to look and these came up in the first few listings. I was taken aback by the price so I had to look. Reviews were so divided, others seem to love or completely hate these pillows. Others say overstuffed or way understuffed. I guess this all comes down to personal preference but I will give my opinion. First, I realized that these were not 100% down and that they do contain more large feathers, that was stated in the product description provided. I assume that this was the reason that they were not as costly as others. Second, I expect feather pillows to not be as full so that the feathers squish, squash, and move inside the case, just like my favorite hotel pillows did, this allows for you to adjust the pillows to your liking when settling in for sleep. These pillows meet this requirement for me. They did not seem to be under or over stuffed, they have the perfect amount of filling to be "adjustable". I did not smell anything weird as some reviewers stated but, I did fluff my pillows in the dryer upon receiving them along with allowing them to sit out all day without pillow cases before using them. I do not see big pieces sticking out, I have not have had feather ends poking me, and they do not make noises when I move on them. For me, these have been a perfect experience and I love 💜 these pillows. These provide all the benefits that I fell in love with my hotel pillows for, sqishable, moldable, adjustable, breathable, soft but supportive, easy to re-fluff in the morning, and best of all, wallet approved! I bought my awesome feather pillows at the same cost of "down alternatives"! If your story of pillow envy sounds like mine, give them a try, if you don't like them it won't be anything new for you to be back on the hunt for new pillows as I have been for over a year! ... show more

When it comes to pillows, I am difficult to please. I sleep on my stomach, my back, and my side--and I have a bad neck and a bad back. This pillow does it all. Firstly, you probably noticed that this pillow is only 15% down, and 85% goose feathers. This made me skeptical, because down is supposed to be the good stuff, and more down = better pillows. IT'S A LIE. Down is indeed super soft and comfy, but when pillows are chock full of it, they get super springy. This leads to two outcomes: if the pillow is loosely filled (most are), the pillow is comfortable for about 30 seconds, then the down collapses, and your head ends up being about 3/4" off of the mattress. If you have a generously filled pillow (or multiple loosely filled ones), your head sinks down into the pillow, and the remainder of the pillow leans in to cover your mouth and nose and tries to suffocate you. The goose feathers, which I thought were a junk additive, are actually quite important. These have more structure than the down, and won't compress as much. This keeps the pillow from flattening out, and it keeps it from surrounding your head and suffocating you. The down content keeps that floofy, cloudlike quality to the pillow, without going overboard where it's problematic. This pillow is JUST RIGHT. It's "medium filled," neither overstuffed nor under-filled. This allows you to shift the filling around, and give your pillow different shape and support characteristics--which allows you to customize it for how you sleep. It is the PERFECT pillow! I don't know how these are made as inexpensively as they are. It's a good thing they're cheap, though, because my wife likes them so well that she's making me replace ALL the pillows on ALL the beds with just these! No more "my pillow/your pillow" turf wars, no more sorting through the pillow pile to find the "good pillow" to sleep on. ... show more

Soft and fluffy but eventually become compacted and uncomfortable. I don't use alone for that reason. I now use a second but different pillow on top of it, I'm a two pillow person.
