It breathes so it is warm and cozy and cool at the same time. It came in and seemed too thin in the packaging. We ordered it because our foam mattress is too hot with normal summer comforters that are down equivalent. We bought a lightweight down comforter that for us will work in winter. But we tried this one out and it is perfect! I wake up about 3-4 AM drenched in sweat with all but this down comforter. We did not think it could be warm enough here in Colorado with our thermostat set for 68 degrees at night with our ceiling fan on as usual. The first night we turned the ceiling fan on and it was just bit too cool. We turned off the fan and we have gotten our best nights of sleep under this comforter in a Duvet cover every night since. We are realizing our King mattress is a bit to warm and firm for us. Sop our next purchase will be a new king memory foam mattress with several layers of breathing and gel foam that is softer like our previous queen sized mattress. We will get it right yet and are now shopping cooling toppers first and a new mattress. We were perfect but my spousal unit insisted on a larger mattress/bed frame. The trouble with mattress buying for memory foam is we cannot know until we try them out by sleeping on them. I am so comfortable with this comforter and have not woken dripping in sweat in a wet bed in a week!! ... show more

Hello, Honestly after looking at the price I was a little skeptical purchasing this duvet, but after I received it I can honestly say I never want to leave my bed. There is a smell that comes with it, and it is kinda strong at first, but after a couple of days the smell goes away. Honestly, I can’t get my dang kids out of my bed now, and I’m thinking of returning it just to they will go back to their own bedrooms(just kidding). But in all seriousness this duvet keeps you warm but not to warm, and it is so soft and comfortable that you will never want to leave your bed after trying it for this first time. There are scattered blue patches on the comforter that I thought at first were stains, but they disappear when the outer shell is pinched/lifted away from the interior. I tried laundering it, hoping the problem would go away, but no luck. I'm guessing it's the filling showing through the very thin white fabric. Would have kept it otherwise. It is extremely thin and lightweight, with very little filling, but I had wanted something I could keep on the bed during the hot summer months and it would have served the purpose. ... show more

I looked at a lot of comforters and read a lot of reviews before I bought this one. It came vacuumed sealed so I put it in the dryer for 30 minutes and then put it on my bed. It is so soft and squishy and full! It is so light but keeps me so warm! My mom babysat my kids and slept in my bad and when I came home she had me order her the same comforter!
