  • Perfect for ENTIRE house and home A/C
Style: 12000 Watts - Dual Fuel - Space Gray
I've been doing my research for almost 3 months now, and finally decided to pull the trigger on this one. My neighbor got a different brand, but he only needed a 30 amp hookup because he did not think it would power the air conditioner. Well, now he is buying this exact same one. The electrician that did my 50 amp box and breaker was actually impressed also because he installs whole home generators. When I told him the price of this, he started looking it up on amazon. This thing starts super easy, and Powers my entire house of 2600 square feet and my air conditioner. I do have a new air conditioner, but it is a big AC unit. We also have LEDs throughout the house, a stand-up freezer, a refrigerator freezer, and a small refrigerator outside. We also have the normal tvs, microwaves, and the likes. This was able to power my whole house with the lights all on, watching tv, air conditioner rolling, and this unit did not even pick up. I wanted to test it out, and it ran 16 hours before I even thought about putting in a fuel in it. I will say this, you do need a 50 amp hookup, and don't be shell shocked when you see the cost of the cable. Also, you really should break it in. I ran oil in it for an hour, during the oil, and you can obviously see metal, which is absolutely normal. I did that three times, and on the third time, there was absolutely no metal. I ran it with the full load for an entire day, and when I drained the oil just to check it, the oil looked like it was brand new. I have not run it on propane yet, because that is just a backup. It is loud, but it's actually quieter than my husky 5000 watt that I am replacing. Very glad that I got this one, and I'm sure it will last a very long time. I think the best part is it has a metal tank on the top and a fuel gauge. It was very easy to put together, and I put it together in about 15 minutes by myself and wield it around the back. Very shocked that it only took about a week and a half to get here, and they dropped it right in front of my house. If you want to be prepared for Hurricane season, this one will do the trick and then some. ... show more

  • 5 stars for generator zero stars for shipping
Style: 12000 Watts - Dual Fuel - Space Gray
First off this is a great generator. Easy to set up. I bought it for the propane option only and it works great. A few notes on set up. It takes a little over 1 1/2 qts oil to fill the sump. Filling it is quite easy with the supplied funnel and hose. You will need a 10mm wrench. The bolts for the handles requires a 10mm wrench to hold the bolt in place while tightening up. Additionally, the battery posts are 10mm as well. I founds that it is easier to remove the battery to install the leads for it as it is a tight fit. I started the generator on propane and it fired right up and ran very smooth. As for the shipping, I was given a delivery date of 5 days after purchase. However after two weeks I contacted the delivery company to find out that the paperwork was shipped but the generator was still sitting on the dock at the seller. Another two weeks to receive the generator making it almost a month in transit with no contact from the seller as to why. The shipper (RL Carriers) was very good in delivering right into the garage when it finally arrived. All in all if you can wait for the delivery it is well worth it. ... show more

  • Solid well built, but three complaints
Style: 12000 Watts - Dual Fuel - Space Gray
This is a new purchase and initially I am satisfied with it. It seems to be well built, I spent a lot of time researching. And the cost of this unit for what it provides won me over. I would give it 5 but I do have two complaints. One was the delivery. The shipping company simply dropped the generator off by our mail box at our road entrance and drove away. No phone call, nothing, Thought this heavy we live on a country road with some traffic, It would of been not hard for a couple of people to just pick it up and ride away. It also left me in a bind as to how to move it from the road to my house. As it is 200 + pounds I had to find away to move it alone. On the plus side it came two days earlier than scheduled. Still, horrible delivery service. The second complaint is that one of the foot bolts was missing. I had to find one to attach the footer. Fortunately, I had something that could work. The third complaint is the manual says that it needs 1.1 quart of oil, that is simply not true. I used at least a 1.5 quarts. Don't know why they don't have that spec right. Still, I think the unit itself is solid and sound, I tested it with several power tools and it just hardly phased the generator when we started them. ... show more

  • Very easy starting
Style: 12000 Watts - Dual Fuel - Space Gray
Truly a beast. Started right up with push of a button and powered great. Easy assembly and not too heavy to move around with the excellent handles and wheels. Hope I never need it but trust it will do the job for my entire house.

  • WOW! Going on 10 Weeks!
Style: 12000 Watts - Dual Fuel - Space Gray
While waiting for electricity for my new land purchase, I purchased this 12KW Generator. First week i ran off gasoline, the following 8 weeks I ran off Propane. I'm going on my 10th week of usage. I change the oil every 3 days and spark plug every 2 weeks. Air filter cleaned occasionally as well. Its running a 1200 Sq ft house that was moved to the property that has 4 window units, the water well (double pole 30 amp), septic system pump (30amp) and a 1500 AMP 19 gallon hot water heater. Pretty impressive I must say. Because needing power is important, I just purchased a 2nd one for a back-up. Lets be real, these are portable generators. I'm shocked any would make it this long. If i didn't have a back-up, it would cost me $2,000+ for a similar unit around town. GREAT PRODUCT!!! ... show more
