I just installed this 4 ch., dashcam which, I upgraded from my single view 1080 dashcam. What led to my decision in enhancing the camera views/channels is, I was recently involved in an accident. The video proof quickly proved my side, within 24 hours of submitting it. That being said, I decided to get a unit with four channel views. This unit received great reviews and with price, I went for the purchase. I did realize there may be an issue on installing the rear camera since it's originally designated to be installed externally. I quickly found an easy remedy to install the rear cam, inside my vehicle's rear window. For about $8, I found the Pixelman Universal Rear Camera Mount"for internal rear mounting. (I've included images to show that model. When installing the rear camera, make sure to install the unit with it's base on the "upside" and not with the base on the bottom, like I did since there is no way on the main console to flip the view. I had to reinstall it. *A side bonus, that's included. This item comes with a plastic crimping tool (a pic is also included) to easily install the video cable lines within the door trim on a vehicle. After installing the entire unit and powering on and formatting the SD card, further setup was a breeze, including adding the date and time. I haven't access the WiFi function on this unit but I will update, after a few weeks of use. Great video quality. ... show more

First off, unit arrived in a timely matter with no issues and well packaged. (Which was great) Installation Process - Installation took me approximately 30 mins in taking my time. Nothing complex about it. I was hesitant about using suction cup option only because I was questioning if it was going to hold up well and surprisingly it did and has. However, the back camera installation part caught me by surprise because in order for me to mount it, I would have to literally dismount my hood to place it through the back door for proper mounting above the license plate “which I did not do”… or other option was to use the double sided tape and simply place it directly on the inside of my trunk door, but in attempting to do so the camera does not stay firm to face out as it should. Instead it just wilts over and the camera captures the inside of my trunk. Mind you I have a Cadillac Escalade ESV. I got frustrated and back camera is just dangling in hopes I could resolve this one issue. I moved on and continued with connecting the unit to Wi-Fi according to the instructions that were provided. I really like this unit a whole lot as it looks professional, sturdy and just pleased with the look. So, In following the steps, I was able to see that it connects to Wi-Fi (Yay)… BUT…I kept reading the manual over and over and over again as I was having issues connecting the unit to the app. Now I find a second issue. At this point I just need the unit to work! I kept trying until I couldn’t handle it anymore. I reached out to support and I was informed that “PRIOR” to doing anything, I had to turn my Cellular data off first then proceed with the instructions. No where at all in the manual was this disclosed. So, I tried again, and guess what, I couldnt connect anything because my data was OFF. I repeated this process so many times, I was still eager to give it a shot! I’m a very handy person, but after so many attempts I gave up. I must say I am disappointed that I can’t use it! I am pleased to know that the company stood behind their product and issued me a refund for the inconvenience without any hassles. Thank you for allowing me to keep the unit! I will continue to try and figure it out. I give the overall unit a 5 (love the security of all angles) but despite the issue(s) I had I will take away a star due to my frustrations with the app and the back camera. ... show more

I love this camara, I bought it a few weeks ago when my truck got broken into. I must say it is well worth the money. I love that it records In front of car, Inside for both sides of the car and a camara for the back. I also love that it keeps recording even after shut off. (I also bought the cables for that they come separately). I LOVE how it shows the speed limit for when a cop wants to say you are going faster than you actually were :), I do dislike the app, It only works when you are actually in the car which is pointless, So am not able to see it live unless I go to the car or take out the Sim and connect it to my computer. I also dislike that if you have to to just keep recording it wont, you have to set for every 3min. Weird but so far it has done the Job. ... show more

First thing I recommend you also purchase the additional hard wire kit. It's brand specific so look at specs and they have listed product item number you can purchase for around $(15) reason is these amazing four cameras are only recording while car is on and the camera has a connection to power. The hardwire kit allows it to connect to fuze box and your set to record while your away from car as well. The moment you shut off the car the camera stops recording. A lot can happen when stopped and engine is off. You may have to buy an additional fuse for your cars fuzebox however that's your cars specific part # so car parts store will solve that. On the camera quality it's good. View pate numbers clearly. Side cameras are the game changer for me. Covering your side windows.. Yes Please! (Thieft, accidents and officers at window) however the cameras all rotate in any angle you want so they can point directly at you and your entire inside car as well. The camera has a removable sd card or wifi connects to a app you can view your recordings. From app you can download recordings. The App needs improvement but it's there and works. ... show more
