I own a cleaning business and I’ve had this vacuum less than a year and it has caught on fire twice while being used, catching the persons hair on fire the first time. It was repaired the first time from a place the company made me take it to interesting to find out that they have serviced over a dozen of these models for the same exact issue. I didn’t have it back for a whole month and the same part ignited again while being worn and used. I asked for a refund and they are refusing I was told by Proteam/Emerson to try and get Amazon to refund my money to me since I purchased the unit through them ?????? They said they would have it picked up,which has now changed to a shipping label making me do more leg work, and have their engineering team investigate it if there’s a real issue I will receive a new unit of no issue found they will repair it and ship it back. I will NEVER purchase anything from proteam/Emerson again. ... show more

My kit arrived missing one of the accessories, the Claw Nozzle. I did not want to return the entire kit just to get the missing part, so after much searching on Amazon I found advice to contact the manufacturer. Which I did, and surprisingly ProTeam was able to look up the order using the Serial number of the kit (Amazon order number did no good). ProTeam happily agreed to replace the missing part for no charge. Now, about the machine: It appears well built, is comfortable, and fairly easy to use. I wish it had a suction control in order to reduce the suction on drapes and delicate fabrics. The floor tool works great on smooth surfaces, but has a hard time with medium to thick carpet. The vacuum is so strong that it makes "gliding" over the carpet difficult. If your primary use is going to be for carpet, you might want to explore getting a dedicated carpet attachment. ... show more

I started out using the vacuum in my bar for the light carpets, then once we went to all hard woods there I took the vacuum home. I’ve had it for 5 years and the thing still works like it’s the first day I got it! I love the fact I can use it on my couch and it will take any dog hair off any run. I use one of these about 2-8 hours a day. I use to get a sore back with older models. This is the most comfortable backpack vac out there. Not quite the most powerful. My vac probably has over 2000 hours of use on it and just keeps going. Never had any issues at all except for the hose included.
