  • Used Karaoke Bi-Weekly Several Years
When you do karaoke for people you tend to not buy the most expensive equipment. People tend to use alcohol to give them courage or have kids that want to try which generally equates to your equipment especially mics taking a beating. This set not only sounds good enough to be professional (if not looked down on by snobs). These have served me well (still) for years and that's doing something with them at least once every 2 weeks in the summer minimum. I'm always trolling for a budget friendly deal and I've yet to find a better option for my setup (8 channel, 6 mics, 1 wired for me, and 1 form my laptop). Batteries last multiple weeks (AA for quick replacement), no interference issues, no signal issues, simple enough for kids and not so coherent adults to use, and they really do sound great with a good pattern for feedback and I'm forced to do some pretty meh setups due to space restrictions at times. If I had to be over critical sometimes the batteries are hard to get out and they are fixed wireless frequencies, but again those systems that allow for channel switching often cost double or more. I couldn't ask for much more than what these offer. If you want a superior system that won't get any flac get a Shure or Sennheiser system. I have 2 to make tribute artists feel comfortable. But in a pinch I've even loaned these to professional shows and they've performed admirably enough to get the singers/musicians to think twice about why they spend so much on those brands. And no one noticed in the crowd! Hope this helps someone and also pays a little homage to a company who's product has served me well for a long time. ... show more

  • Solid metallic built crystal clear voice
I was very pleased with the reception of this mic set very clear and long distant reception. Ordered for our church and very pleased with the performance and the customer service is impeccable. Found out one mic had an issue long after the return window had passed so I contacted proreck audio to ask about purchasing a replacement and they said no problem and mailed me a replacement for free. Well I can truly say with product performance and customer service as top notch as this proreck audio is definitely my forever cordless mic supplier of the future thanks proreck audio will keep ordering for the other churches in my circuit. ... show more

  • Very good wireless mic set for the price. Six for under $200 is amazing.
This 6-mic set worked great for a recent karaoke event for a bunch of middle school kids. Six microphones worked flawlessly, and apparently it "takes a village" to empower kids that age to sing. I was worried about UHF interference, but I experienced zero problems. Individual gain control for each mic was helpful, although the gain knobs are very tiny. I used the mix out into my mixer with a 3 ft TLS to XLR cable. Before changing to TLS from the supplied TS cable there was hum somewhere in my system. I changed a couple other cables, too, so I did not try to isolate to the short mic cable causing or not causing the hum. The mix out should be unbalanced, but I could not find a way to be certain. What do I not like about these microphones? a) the build and finish of the mics is not the best. I did not expect them to feel like $500 or $1000 pro grade mics, but to me they are a step below similar mics by TONOR. The battery cover threads feel sticky, not polished. The batteries don't have a smooth feel when I snap/slide them into their places. The LCD covers look like an afterthought, not like part of a good mic build. That's comparing them to TONOR. However, in their defense, the similar TONOR pair is over $100, so six would have been over $300, and I would have had to connect 3 wireless mic receivers to my mixer. So six mics for under $200 and one cable to my mixer is really good. b) the on-off switch on bottom of mic is very small and feels flimsy. c) the power supply cable for the receiver is very short and barely reaches from the receiver to a power strip on the floor. It is a very common 12V 2.5 amp power supply with a 2.5mm ID/5mm OD round plug. I ordered a 12V 5 amp to use instead that is more like a laptop power supply where the transformer does not plug directly into the outlet but uses a 3-pin standard power cord. The power supply was a solid upgrade. d) I'm not sure if there is a low battery indicator. TONOR mics have a full status indicator. Some other mics have color-changing or red led when battery is low. I only use rechargeable Amazon Basics batteries in these types of mics. The high capacity are in short supply at the time of this review, so I used regular. They lasted for 3 hours of karaoke and might last many more. Generally I have found the wireless mics not to be battery hogs, but that probably depends on many factors. e) the sound quality is kind of intense. "Bright" I think is the technical term. But it's a matter of personal preference, I guess. f) There are 8 or 9 audio effects built into the receiver. You can toggle between them, but I did not know which effect was what. Maybe they were described in the brief user manual. I did not think this was a useful feature in any case, but maybe if someone had no other equipment one of the effects might soften or mellow the bright sound a bit. Overall, this wireless mic 6-pack worked great for me. Usually you don't want or need 6 mics for karaoke, but this is exactly what I wanted at a price I was willing to pay. I even had both the PRORECK 6 and TONOR 2 plugged into my mixer, and there was no overlap of frequencies. 8 mics played well together. I can't comment on the durability of this set, having only used all mics for one event. But so far so good. ... show more

  • Sound and quality
Wow have used several times. Ran sound with several pro groups and every one very impressed with both sound and performance. Have had a lot more expensive name brand units that were not as impressive.

  • Great value for the price
Nothing like having a group get up to sing and you hand them all their own mic

  • Mics not right
There's always super feedback with these. My friend has a set and I bought 1. 1 or 2 mics never work. And you will often hear a roll that comes through. They are very loud and powerful. Definitely too much power for a dive bar

  • Absolute junk. No tech support. Eats batteries.
Purchased these with high hopes. Had issues from the very first gig. Waited and waited to review to make sure I exhausted all options to get the issues resolved before writing this NEGATIVE review. There is no tech support and I cannot even find a number on the internet for the company. Mic 1, 3 and 5 eat batteries in a half an hour. Picture the microphones being Pac Man eating the dots at warp speed. Can't even get through a 1 hour set without them going bonkers and needing fresh batteries and that is using top of the line audio battery's, both single use and rechargeable. (We have tried everything, from different style of batteries, replaced cords and adjusted settings.) We used this set at 6 gigs before giving up and going back to wired mics and every time there has been battery issues and feedback. Even with a pro audio tech running controls these mics failed on every performance and every level. They will now go in the trash since there is no support or warranty. DO NOT purchase these if you want peace of mind and consistent performance. Might as well use them for a prop during a mic drop. A crying shame because the sound was really nice for the price point, when it worked. ... show more
