This brush is very thirsty. It soaks a lot of water. At first it did not lather at all. Left in fridge for 2 days soaked in water, dried and used it the following day....lather was great after about 2 minutes!! It does require more water than usual. I've heard it gets better with usage!!

    • It's OK but kind of coarse in face feel
The bristles on this brush have a rather heavy feel to them. It helps to soak in a bowl of hot water for about 10 minutes before use, which will improve things somewhat, but still the bristles have a feel to them which will technically "work" but there are many other choices on the market that a buyer should at least consider. I might add that I am a big fan of Proraso shaving products including their shaving cream in a tube (fantastic) and their after shave splash. ... show more

This brush is a great bargain! As usual, the boar bristles have a slight odor. To eliminate this I soaked the brush in hot water and baking soda for about 15 minutes. Voila! The bristles are odorless and 98% as soft and efficient as badger. It holds tons of cream/suds and is very comfortable in the hand! You won't regret purchasing it! ... show more
