This vacuum can pick up a rug. Good news is you can adjust the suction rate. The fact that this company started repairing vacuums clearly shows in how the unit is designed and built. The areas that usually break seem to be engineered and made with quality materials. I was missing the second brush and they quickly sent one to us.     • Nice with some drawbacks.
Our home, a haven for our beloved pets, needed a vacuum that could handle the fur with the grace of a fairy tale. Enter this vacuum that feels like it was crafted with us in mind. I really like the bright light on the heavier vacuum attachment - it is like having a guiding light in our cleaning quests, making it easy to spot every stray hair or dust bunny. While it's true that this vacuum is louder than I anticipated after reading other reviews, requiring earplugs when I clean, the trade-off is worth it. Not having to lug a heavy machine around is a relief. I've never had a canister-type vacuum like this. I thought I liked the bag-free types better, too, but even though they are made to not make you touch the inside, I inevitably have to always reach in. Ewww. This one that keeps the dust in the bag is actually a nice perk, even though it feels less modern. I'm not looking forward to buying extra bags but we haven't gotten there yet! When you lift the front off - that looks like the pilot hatch of some sort of spaceship, BTW - it is sometimes hard to get back in. You have to make sure to nudge the parts back into their slots before closing it again. Tiny annoyance but no big deal. The array of attachments, especially the pet hair turbo nozzle is perfectly suited for our pet-centric life. It fits seamlessly into our daily routine, bringing a sense of reliability and adventure to the mundane task of cleaning. The only wish? Perhaps a bit quieter operation, but the joy of a clean home, free of pet hair, is a story I'm happy to tell. 🐾✨ ... show more

    • Worthy, modern vacuum with great suction power
I admit that I am not a fan of canister vacuums with bags. I have been using for many years either bagless vacuums (convenient) or water-filtering vacuums (bulky and much less convenient). As my old vacuum is on its last leg, I used the opportunity to order this product, Prolux QX60. I waited for 2 days to get familiar with the vacuum before writing this review. I am still not a fan of bag vacuums, but QX60 is a really impressive product. Here are the reasons for choosing it among other vacuums: - Suction power is superb. This is one of the most powerful vacuums I have experienced, despite its relatively compact size. - Very thorough filtering. The bag and the additional HEPA filter have impressive dust capturing specs, despite high air flow. The vacuum should be suitable for allergy sufferers. - Easy access to the bag, no mess. The cover mechanism seems well-made and very reliable. - The vacuum moves easily and the rotating hose connector relieves strain and prevents tangling. - Power brush disassembles easily for cleaning. It is also a hair magnet -- it lifts and captures hair easily. - One thing I liked very much is the low noise level. Granted, it is a vac, so you cannot talk on the phone and vacuum at the same time, yet it is much quieter than my old vacuum cleaner, despite having at least twice its suction power. - Another great addition is the small utility brush -- it is great for upholstery. - Prolux is a well-known company with decades on the market. They have a well-established system for providing support, consumables, and parts. Downsides: - The vacuum is rather heavy. Not super heavy like a water filtering vac with water, but it feels heavy for the size. This is actually be a good sign -- it likely means that the motor is large and uses quality copper wiring, not light aluminum wiring. - The powerbrush is also quite heavy and it is only useful on a carpet. If you do not have much carpeting (hardwood floors, etc.), you'll find yourself using mostly the dumb thin brush and the large power brush will just be taking space in storage. ... show more

Attractive well engineered modern vacuum. It comes with a horse hair brush for hard floors, small rotating brush for furniture, and electric power head for carpet or hardwood floors. Small crevice tool and brush onboard the machine. There's one bag already in the machine and one extra bag. 25 foot retractable power cord. Amazon packed it loose in a huge box. Everything inside the product box was in good shape. It comes with good instructions for assembly if needed. It takes some effort to push or "snap" the hose onto the vacuum body since it is both a hose and electrical connection. Same effort required to attach the power head to the pipe assembly. Here's the funny part... I've been using upright vacuums and Shop Vac's for a long time so when I assembled this 21st century canister vacuum I obviously saw the on/off switch on the handle. Well, that's just the power head switch. The switch to turn on the whole vacuum cleaner is the big grey plastic switch on the body of the machine opposite the electric cord rewind button. Ha! I figured it out and vacuumed the bedroom, hallway, bathroom. The suction is powerful. The power head easily goes under the bed and in other tight areas that I can't reach with my upright vac. The hose is proper for this machine. Overall, a good "Made in USA" vacuum that is built to last. P.S. Don't force the bag access door closed when changing the bag. ... show more
