This set is an excellent value. Quality parts, decent instructions. I was able to test compression in a very short time. My spark plugs were easy to access: would be more challenging with a V6 or V8 but I think it would work.

    • Be careful, don't use in tight areas

The compression gage and connections work but if the job requires you to get into very tight areas don't use with the adapter. Lucky I was using on a motorcycle because I screwed the adapter onto the hose, screwed it into the spark plug hole and did a compression test. The gage worked great till you unscrew the hose and the adapter stays in the hole. No mater what I did the thing wouldn't come out, I was able to get needle nose in and grab the adapter and unscrew it. If I was working on a car motor or something I couldn't get the pliers in with I don't know what I would have done. Beware!!!!! ... show more
