  • Great for apartment
Had purchased a cheap one and was so disappointed I decided not to make that mistake again. Researched the best and found this one on several lists. Programmable target humidity, dimmable display, timer function... all work and are easy to use. But mainly, this is quiet and works. On really humid days, even in a small one bedroom apartment, I have to empty the tank twice a day - it's pulling water out of the air fast. It's been running non-stop for over a month without issues. Very happy. ... show more

  • This really works!!!
Update: Still loving my dehumidifier!!! Prior to purchasing the dehumidifier, I read the reviews. Of course, there are pros and cons to everything. I decided to just go for it and hope for the best. This dehumidifier really works. There is so much moisture in my house. It runs all day and night. It is not loud at all. I’ve placed it between my living room and kitchen. It hardly takes up any space. The directions says not to place it against a wall. The wheels makes it really easy to move. When removing the container, to empty the water, I roll it in the kitchen. I have to empty it three times a day. I cannot believe the amount of water it collects. It’s crazy!!! The humidity level in my house is anywhere from 67-77%. I think 50-60% is good. I highly recommend this dehumidifier. I have had it for less than a week. If anything changes, I will update my review. ... show more

  • Purchased froze up, replaced broke, Don't Buy!!!
Purchased and used 3 months and unit froze up. Would not defrost automatically. Pro breeze replaced the unit. Second unit worked great for 3months. We unplugged it for the winter and stored according to instructions. Plugged in last month. Unit runs and does not draw ANY water. Contacted pro breeze. They said I was outside my warranty period. I thought warranty on the 2nd unit would run from the date I received and registered it. But, they said no that it ran from original date of purchase with the first unit. Had to buy a new dehumidifier (not Pro Breeze). Very disappointed that each unit only worked 3 months without needing to be replaced. I do commend their customer service department for a job well done with their quick turn around time in response to my e-mails each time. ... show more

  • Stopped working after a year. But great customer service.
UPDATE: They were very kind and refunded me outside of the warranty. That mitigates a lot of the risk of something similar happening to you. We used this unit in the basement of our 1650 sq ft home, and it worked nicely the first year, as described. This Spring we went to turn it back on after the dry Winter and it appears not to work, makes all the same noises, you can hear the fan, but no water comes out, and it's clear by the humidity of 68% it's no longer humidifying. Definitely not worth $200 for one year's worth of dehumidifying. ... show more

  • Works great.
I live in a basement apartment and empty it once each day. I can't believe how much moisture that it removes. I bought another and let them run all the time.

  • The humidity in my AZ home was ridiculously high!
I started to notice that my doors in my house were sticking. Then my electric bill increased in one month. Called the a/c tech and yep, it was my humidity. It was 88% in Arizona!! With central air conditioning running pretty much 24/7, the a/c unit has a built in dehumidifier so the fact that I was very close to 109% stumped the a/c tech, his supervisor and the owner of the company. After checking the coolant amount, my drains, my filters, the vents in the crawl space upstairs… they were stumped. We *think* it’s because I had my air purifier directly under my thermostat. But it’s been there for 6 months so we can not be sure that was the fix. The only thing working is this dehumidifier. It beeps and turns off when it’s full. The humidity was so high that it was even curving a VERY large mirror in my hallway (see pic 1). I hope that it will straighten out after I get the humidity down a little bit more. (In the 40% range would be absolutely appreciated!!). I’d love to be able to use the hose that comes with it, but I don’t have the correct setup to utilize the hose. Maybe in a different home, but not this one. I need it to do exactly what it’s doing and as of today, most rooms are now in the 60%ish range. This dehumidifier is a solid workhorse! It has wheels, so moving it into different rooms is very easy and I have major back problems. I’m needing to empty it twice a day due to how high it was and the humidity has gone done a full 10% in just 5 days. I’m so relieved. Best purchase!! Pray for my mirror. I really love it. Saving $100/mo on my electric would be good, too. LOL. ... show more

  • Freezing issue
After 1 year, no longer works. Be sure to get extended warranty, you'll need it.

  • Having trouble with the Continuous Drainage feature
Like others have mentioned, this product does an excellent job dehumidifying the room, and it does so at a low decibel level. The feature I most rely upon is the continuous drainage. Without that, I have to empty the tank daily. For one thing, the provided hose is only 1M (way too short). I had to purchase a hose extension (with hose barbs to join if needed). For another thing, the port for continuous draining is inside the back of the unit, above the storage tank. Water seems to not only drain through the tube, but also from other areas in the tank. That means that the tank will continue to fill even while you are using the continuous draining tube. And when that tank caps out, the dehumidifier will halt operation until the tank is emptied. It's frustrating and definitely fails at continuous drainage because of this. I have attempted to reach the seller on my own, but their Support pages lead to a 404 error, and their contact us is gated for direct purchases only (not Amazon). Have currently initiated communication with Amazon as an intermediary and am waiting for a response. ... show more
