I placed them high above the sink so some of the wall is visable above the window and will buy some southwest baskets to put there. The light wrinkles steamed right out, but the creases won't budge. Thankfully the creases are not very noticeable due to the lighting in the room. Otherwise, they are nice curtains. These are full on blackout curtains! I have purchased several different brands that have claimed they are "blackout curtains" but they often still had a lot of light shine through. I put these curtains in my dining room (which gets a ton of sunlight) and the entire room is completely dark. Love that no light comes through the curtains. Just need to make sure that they are hung higher and wider than the windows. If not, light will peek through the top or sides.
