If you're a person with a ton of shoes, then BUY THIS ITEM. It is stylish and very sturdy. My daughters each received one as a Christmas gift and they love having their shoes organized! This has created so much extra space in their closets too. If you are a neat freak (like I am) you will love the esthetics this provides. It is also boxed very well and endured the shipping process. Trust me I work for FedEx and boxes are NOT handled as carefully as you think. THIS IS HEAVY so you'll definitely need a " team lift " to just get it off the front porch and into your home. This is an excellent shoe storage unit and the perfect color (Espresso) to match my other bedroom furniture! The only issues we had putting it together was that the Vendor DIDN'T label the parts with the letters to go along with the instruction book AND most of the screws, bolts and other small pieces were put in one bag instead of being labeled and bagged individually. For the final stages of the assembly to drop the shelves in, it does take 2 people. * BE SURE TO PAY ATTENTION TO THE INSTRUCTIONS that tell you which is the top and bottom of the shelf assembly. This shoe rack was perfect for my closet. I have a white closet storage system, but of course needed additional storage for shoes. Although the cubbies are small, I had read the reviews and I can fit a pair of my shoes in each cubby. For running shoes, I place one flat and then turn the other on it's side. Heels and flats fit fine. I am able to put booties in it, but the actual boots will not fit. I am fine with that though and am so happy with how it looks in my closet. I was also able to assemble it fairly easily. I did have to contact the seller because the box came damaged, which also damaged the side of it, but they were able to make it right. I am very happy with my purchase and if I keep buying shoes, I may buy another one :) ... show more

This shoe cabinet fit perfectly in my mud room because of it's size (in all depth x width x height) as well as appearance, blending in with my white cabinets. Each panel component was sturdy unlike Ikea furniture bookshelves. Having a real wood back panel is much nicer than having cardboard. I suggest the manufacturer to put nail markings of where to hammer. Additionally, I recommend using a ruler to draw on the back panel where the shelves are in case you want to add nails against the shelf panels in the future. The most difficult part of the assembly is putting the shelves together and putting into the cabinet. The instructions say to flip/turn the shelves into the cabinet when it's lying on the ground, but the shelves will just fall out of their slots. It's better to stand the cabinet upright and slide it in. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and looking to get better organized with shoes and other outerwear. ... show more

The box is 70lbs, length is long and thin so be prepared when it arrives to drag it in or have help to bring it in the house. It's very heavy to lift when on the floor to unpack. Once you unpack it, and lay it out, the boards are not labeled so you have to piece it ('A", "B","C") and refer back to the booklet several times. Once you get them out and separate the parts/tools, make sure you get the top and the bottom shelf facing the right way (white side out). I'd strongly recommend having two people put this together. The cabinet was very well packaged. Even though the bottom and corners of the box were slightly torn and crushed, the extra attention given to packaging prevented any damage to the cabinet parts. The cabinet was easy to put together. Very pleased with this product!
