I just purchased these in Large and Extra Large. The XL are a good size but the Large seem to be a little bit smaller than what I imagined. The measurements are correct, you just might need to adjust your shoes on how you put them in the box. For the first 15 minutes, I really struggled with putting these together and I thought I was going to throw in the towel. Once I got over my frustration and logically looked at how to put them together, it was easy. Once you do one, it all comes together but it does take time. Considering how many of these you get for the price, it's worth it! They seem a little rickety when you first put them together but once the front and back go on, they get much sturdier. And I like how you can build as many as you can on top of each other so it's flexible within your closet, etc. My only recommendation would be that when putting the L and XL together, they use the same instruction sheet. And on the L, there are 4 tabs on each side but on the XL, there are 6 tabs on each side but the instructions say there are 4 which is what was throwing me off at first. My recommendation to the manufacturer would be to update the instructions if they change by size of boxes so it's less confusing. ... show more

Walk-in closet; All my shoes were on the floor where these are now. I stacked 4 all throughout. 24 (12 pkg Large size) and I was able to place 2 sets of sneakers 👟 into one cubby w closed door and heels 👠 2 pairs on some, flip flops and sandals up to 3 pairs in one cubby w door closed. This is truly a game changer, it organized my shoes finally off the floor or cheap plastic stacks I had. Big sneakers may require XL boxes. The door is good and sturdy, we did 24 plastic boxes in 15 min. Had it all done and organized in 30 min. Very ease of use and keeps smelly shoes away ( we all have a pair or too) and places a Gain singles pod on the top. Closet looks bigger, less dark and organized. ... show more

I almost returned these because they looked very chintzy and after struggling for 10 minutes to put the first one together, I realized that if you just concentrate on one side at a time, they go together quickly and easily. So, 1) make sure the box is as rectangular as possible. 2) fold the little tabs down 3) make sure the locking tabs are on top 4) take the door end and snap the smaller side (width) in place first, then move to the longer side (length) and snap it in, then the next width and finally the last length. 5) place the back the same way ***The locking tabs add a lot of stability ***Not made for boots or platforms. The storage boxes are good overall, but they are definitely self- assemble and not as thick or quality of a material as they appear in the photos. The large photo shows sides with cross-hatching which is how they look. The clear sides are misleading as they look like harder acrylic. these are flimsy plastic which, when assembled, should hold up ok. Honestly, they are like high end dollar store boxes - the plastic is like old school binder plastic and you have to do some gymnastics without instructions to get them assembled. Overall - ill use them and they are ok - should be cheaper and have accurate photos ... show more

These are nice, but cheaply made. The pictures definitely look like hard plastic. They are made of a flimsy, yet sturdy plastic. If you sat on one, it would crumble easier than a cardboard box. Maybe a bit overpriced, but they still do a good job if you keep all the above in mind.
