  • Excellent inverter generator at a great price.
Arrived today earlier than expected. Wednesday the 16th. Almost could've used it for need since hurricane Milton left us without power for 6 days ($250 worth of food gone). Fortunately power came back on last night (Tuesday). Set up was easy, be sure to add oil, the included oil filler spout/funnel made it simple. Added gas (I have the gas only model) and it started right up without needing to set it to choke (warm here). Checked it for planned use (power outage with a small house) hooking up a fridge, two fans, microwave and two lights. Only put a little gas in it and it ran for a half hour and powered what I needed it to power. I should point out my fridge is not large and is very efficient with power so your mileage may vary. The microwave in use draws the most watts but no issues. This Inverter is not that loud but is a little louder than a couple I've heard in use. Definitely lower than traditional generators. I've been playing with the idea of getting a generator for years and this storm finally convinced me to get one, glad I'll be ready for the next. ... show more

  • Great
This turned out to be a great purchase. We took this generator with us boondocking this year and it performed flawlessly. Ran my RV air conditioner to get the unit cooled down before bed. The best part is it was light enough for me to pick it up and get it into the bed of my truck. My other 4k watt is twice the weight. Love it. ... show more

  • Loud and weak
The 4000w 20/30 amp generator was easy to set up and started on the 3rd pull. It is marketed as 62db however at no load idle mine tests out at 76db. The slightest load of indoor led lights or the fridge or opening the microwave door sends it into high speed and 85db. Turning everything off but the ac unit drawing 15amps (1800w) it goes into overload mode and blows the breaker after about 2 minutes. I purposely got the 4000w 20/30 amp unit to not have this issue. Not recommended for quietness or capability. ... show more

Great product , ran well , powered all in a small RV, fairly quiet 62-dbish @50% load or less, for the price this is near unbeatable, runs around 8 hrs on a full tank at 25% load @10 feet elevation so good we bought a second with duel fuel and electric start and so far great...only question is long term 200-300 400hr and beyond reliability ... show more

  • Lightweight and powerful
This compact, quiet, lightweight gasoline generator is powerful and stores easily on a shelf in my garage. It was invaluable in keeping our fridge running, lights on, and phones charged when power went out during Hurricane Milton. The only negative is the oil fill hole is small and hard to access. When oil drips (which it will), it goes inside the case, then drools out through multiple holes in the base. ... show more

Started up on first pull. Very happy with my choice

  • Very quiet
I'm using this generator to run my small 1600sq ft house. It only outputs 120v, so you can't run any large appliances off 240v, which is okay for me because I use natural gas for cooking, dryer, etc. I just can't run my air conditioning. The output frequency is 60hz, contrary to what another review said. The voltage never dropped below 115v at 3000w used. So far so good. Coming from an open frame champion 6000w generator, it's significantly quieter, I no longer have to use a generator quiet box. For maintenance: Make sure you do the break in oil change. Buy 1qt of 10w30 conventional oil, and fill it until the oil touches the threads of the oil cap (just less than 1/2qt). Run it for about an hour or two, trying to vary the loads. Now drain the break in oil. The oil that comes out will probably be silver. From what i've read about these engines, is that's okay. Now put in the other half quart, and you should be good for 100 hours or so. As for fuel maintenance: I would recommend using fuel stabilizer, and running the generator once a month for 15 minutes. I would also recommend running the carb dry to shut it down, instead of shutting it completely off when you're done using it. On the multifunction dial, right before the stop insignia, the fuel valve closes right before the stop symbol. When you're done with the generator, set it to that position and wait about 3 minutes. It will surge a few times and die. This will help you get a little more time out of storing the generator, in case your forget to run it monthly. The only thing i'm concerned about is how well the inverter electronics will hold up over time. I did purchase the extended warranty for this reason, and I would also recommend it for any non name-brand generator. I'll update this review if anything happens ... show more

  • Switch stuck on off. Can't find any support.
The generator seems fine but the switch has stopped working and I can't find any support. When looking for support, there is not way to contact anyone. I would buy a new switch and replace it myself if I could just get some tech support.
