This paired set of cable branch extentions were color coded which helped me keep track of my multiple wiring run's DC polarity. The MC4 connectors on these were a perfect fit for the connectors on the 10 foot cables I had.

It will not make connection with solar panels I bought here on amazon. I have not had any problems with connections using other splitters that I have bought on Amazon. I did like the color coding, but it does not matter if it wont connect... sad

I set up my solar system, and when I wasn't getting voltage worked my way through the system to find that one of the connectors on this adapter wasn't seated correctly. I was able to fix it myself, and I imagine most people building out a solar setup would be able to as well; but it's still an issue I wish I didn't need to fix on a new product. ... show more

These seem well made. More flexible that some others I have bought. I have not hooked an ohm meter up to test resistance, but short of that I think I have given them a good run down. 400w of panels at about 40v, no complaints.

The pins used in the male connector, do not have rolled edges, which makes for a difficult time mating. Secondly the crimp on some pins was made to close to the barrel of the pin which results in the pin being bent at a slight angle. This also makes mating difficult.
