I thought I read good reviews on this solar panel/power for camping. Finally got to try it out. This unit only charges small items, like batteries, tablet or cell phones. What a waste of money. I already have small solar charger for that. Was hoping to use my small appliances--small coffee maker/ hot water pot/ electric skillet. It didn't do a thing! It took 4 hours to charge my ipad. Impressed by it durability and charging time. We got this to power the lights in our barn, Charges right up and works great, I mounted the solar panel on the outside wall to get he afternoon sun and wired the charging unit into the breaker box, once it is completely charged will last several days. We can even charge the batteries for the weed eater at the same time. I did have to seal the cable connection from the solar panel and the unit. I just chalked it to keep the rain out. ... show more

Bought this to extend the battery life of my handheld radios. While hunting I usually have a spotter to help me with the stalk. The comms is heavy and we usually drain our radios by day 2 of a 5 day hunt.
