  • Miter Saw Stand - Portable type 1 ea.
Style: Portable Miter Saw Stand w/ Outlet
Pros: Overall construction is SOLID... Quality is there. Easy to assemble. For quality you get weight. I like this so the saw doesn't move around a lot while working. Besides - they put wheels on for a reason. Ok ... The outlet design is awesome, can use their cord or your cord and cord doesn't get in the way while moving. The clamp down for the DeWalt DWS779 works but the saw slid a little to the rear while mounting on table. I will fix this - absolutely without complaint. The material standoffs at the ends are nice - with / without roller is a good option. The knob for tightening it is a little robust and if the saw is stood on edge, ie. next to a wall - the knob will hit the ground. Changing that for a regular bolt. Last thing - when I get something like this, I always look to see what I would do if the table becomes broken while on the job... Thanks to the nut and bolt selections and overall construction, this stand will be around for a hot minute. So - the cons: Weight, but that't the trade off between strong and more importantly - stable, the knob for the material standoff, but that's just using a bolt vice the knob and not over torquing it, and the mount of the brackets to the saw, which I blame which I will fix by putting a sticky back rubber surface between the saw and the mount. In short - highly recommend this to anyone. Wow - was totally impressed with the guages of metal used. Quality good, design good, cost makes everything perfect. Thank you ... Not sure where it was made but here's the deal - it works... ... show more

  • Beefy unit. Stable platform. Great value.
Style: Portable Miter Saw Stand w/ Outlet
Really happy with this stand. I'm using it for a Dewalt DW715 and it fits perfect. The stand is stable and is heavily built for its purpose. Setup took about 5 minutes as it is mostly assembled upon arrival. I see that there have been some shipping issues for other customers but mine arrived without a scratch on it. I chose this over a stand available at a popular discount tool retailer and I'm glad I did. This stand is beefier and more stable so it's definitely worth the extra few bucks. To me the fold-down wood racks on the legs looked like plastic in the picture but they are metal. I also wondered from looking at the pictures if the unit would stand on end but I can confirm what I think I saw in other reviews, the wheels are for moving the unit only. Even without a saw mounted on it, the unit is difficult to balance on its end, so if you are looking for something that you can drop the legs on and stand on end with the saw attached, this isn't for you. I agree with reviewers that the outlet placement is awkward. Unless your saw bed is two inches higher than mine, the center outlet will be covered by the work support arm. Easy enough to trim the arm down and I suppose a byproduct of building a universal stand, but still a bit awkward. Tip for people mounting 12 inch saws. Slide the saw forward on the brackets and mount the rear holes first.. If you mount the front first the back side of the brackets are partially blocked by plastic so the screws are difficult to place. Now I'm off to see if I can source a few pairs of the quick release mounting brackets. I'd love to have some mounted to some of my other bench top tools. ... show more

  • Updated. First use. Currently I think its well worth the money.
Style: Portable Miter Saw Stand w/ Outlet
Putting together: Make sure you can find your hex wrench for the handle step. My bad. Easily put together. Hardest part was putting the equipment handles on my Skil Miter Saw (purchased from amazon https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B003CYKNVM/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) The saw has holes for these handles but they are Cylinders, so you won't get a tool down in there to tighten the bolt. A small fender washer at the top of the cylinder is as best it gets. Just keep this in mind this is a Skil design flaw in my opinion. The saw is awesome though. What was odd with the stand is I unfolded the legs no problem. But after putting it all together, the two legs that have the wood holders wouldn't fold in a way that lets the second one lock in place. You have to force it. So this is a manufacturing flaw. The stand has HEFT to it. It definitely can be man handled. Its nice that is has the electrical outlets on it. Design flaw is the work holder (the roller) where the handle for the stand is, interferes with putting your hand in the handle. You need to lock it in place High. Its has sharp corners so one must be careful grabbing the handle. I liked that the Miter saw handles for the stand kind of locks into place even before you push the handle locks down. The miter saw is not going anywhere. The legs spread out at angles to the top of the stand so they provide an excellent stable stand. I couldn't imagine the stand tipping for any reason. When on the wheels, there is no way to leave it tilted up on its own. So I extended the work holder at the wheel end but that is not an option. I think the manufacturer should consider making that screw in handle into a half ball so it can act like a third point of contact with the ground. I expect the plastic handle to fail in the future the way I am doing it. Overall it seems to be a quality product and worth the money. Update 1: Very stable. Cut some 2 x 6 x 8 boards. The work holders that slide out were helpful and very stable. Nothing bad from it except what I said above: The legs on one side have to be manhandled to lock closed. And the handle only works well if your knuckles are holding the handle from below. No real way to stand it on its end except to use the plastic screw in handle and extend the work holder on the bottom. I still recommend this stand. None of my points detracts from its practical use as a mitre saw stand. It does this very nicely. ... show more

  • Sturdy, and stable stand
Style: Portable Miter Saw Stand w/ Outlet
This stand is very heavy duty, it’s not perfect but pretty close. Very easy to assemble and to move around since it has wheels. Two minor issues with it though. You’re only able to use two of the outlets because one of the roller bar gets in the way of the middle outlet when you adjust it.. If you have huge hands when you grab the handle to move it, one of the yellow set screw gets in the way. None of these two issues affected me because i wont be using any of the outlets, and my hands are not huge which is why i still gave it 5 stars ... show more

  • Great build quality and value for money
Style: Portable Miter Saw Stand w/ Outlet
Have used this several times now and love it. Very stable, insanely quick and easy to set up as well. The extensions are a bit unaware to your miter table, but for home use it really isn’t a big deal. This is still worth every penny.
