  • Plenty of Power, Portable
I did not know I was looking for something like this until I ran across it. Just like everyone else I have those power banks which are used to charge cell phones. What makes this Powermax different from those power banks is the size of it, how much power it can deliver plus you may run 120v devices. You are also able to charge multiple devices at the same time. The power are a standard 120 plug, 12v lighter plug and 3 USB with 1 Type C. It has a screen to let you know what the battery level is as well as which outlets are being used. This unit has a nice looking design and easy to carry around. The built in fan helps in keeping things running for extended amount of time. I’ve had no issues with it. This works well and is the device we take now on trips. If you will be taking this out camping I would suggest a solar panel to keep it charged throughout your stay. Thank you for taking the time to read my review and photos of this product. I hope it has been helpful in providing you with more information. ... show more

  • More than I bargained for
Just got my portable power depot and honestly more useful than I originally thought when I purchased. Had bought mainly as additional power supply for my boat when not hooked up to shore power but have now been using at home as a power supply so I can work in the backyard on my laptop without having to use long extension cord. This is perfect for any outdoor activities such as camping, RV, tailgating....etc. I plan to leave at home as here in Southern California we have occasional rolling blackout power outages. Small, portable but packs lots of power........am loving it. ... show more

  • This thing is AWESOME!
We took this camping and were able to keep all 6 devices (iphones, ipads AND my laptop) powered up with no problem. Very light and easy to carry ...surprising power packed into this compact design.

  • Good portable power supply. Not compatible with all Solar panels!
This is a decent little portable battery power station. It is compact and relatively lightweight making it easy to take with you anywhere. It also is very simple and easy to use. There's only 3 buttons on the control panel to turn power output ON/OFF for the different types of ports. The digital screen displays the battery level and which ports are currently on but not much else. It would be nice if the screen showed the current load on the battery or charging current when using solar panels to charge it. I've put this through 3 full charge and discharge cycles so far and the capacity of this power station has far exceeded my expectations. It has more than enough juice to recharge your small electronics devices multiples times and power a laptop for several days of usage making it the perfect camping companion for a family. It was even able to run my 30L/32Qt car fridge for 24 hours with the fridge running in ECO mode which is better than I expected. The main reasons I'm giving this power station a 3 star review is due to the serious limitation it has on a solar charging input and the very poor, non-existent customer support available from Powermax. When I try to charge this power station with my BRÜUN 120W portable solar panel, a warning symbol is displayed on the screen of a battery with an exclamation mark in it. I lost my original manual and didn't know what this light meant. I emailed their customer support multiple times since receiving this unit to request a replacement user manual and have received no response to any of my inquiries. After more than a month of no response to my numerous support messages sent via the Powermax website, I finally found a way to message Powermax through Amazon and was able to get a replacement manual sent and an answer to my question about the warning light. The manual doesn't actually state anything about this warning light but Powermax confirmed to me this is the overvoltage/overcurrent warning light. The DC input limits of this power station are: Voltage: 5V to 24V Current: maximum 2.1 A. So if you plan to charge this with a solar panel you need to make sure your panel doesn't exceed these limits on its output or it won't charge the battery and it could damage the power station. My 120W solar panel can easily exceed these limits which means I have no way to charge this power station other than the AC charger. It seems this station is really better suited to use a 30-60W panel even though they advertise it working with up to 120W panels. I would need to get a separate solar charge controller just to throttle down the output of my panel to make it work with this power station. Highly disappointing. ... show more

  • Nice portable power station, but zero customer support
This power station is stylish and ultra-portable. It’s similar in size to a small lunch box. I got this primarily for charging electronic devices on all-day fishing trips. But It’s so convenient to carry that I ended up bring it even on short road trips. I’ve used this power station for other tasks as well. During a recent power outage, I used this to power my entire network panel for over an hour (see photo). Devices in the network panel only draw around 65 watts combined, so this power station should be able to go quite a bit longer than one hour if necessary. Operating the power station is relatively intuitive. I charged using the included wall plug. One thing that’s a bit irritating is that there’s no visual indicator showing charge complete. I charged for over 10 hours, and the charge symbol was still showing (i.e., the symbol with the lightning bolt; see photo). I just assumed it was full. Amazon listing says this power station can be charged with solar panels. But solar charging was not mentioned in the instructions at all. Instructions say this power station takes a DC input of 18V at 2A. Since my portable solar panel can deliver an open-circuit voltage as high as around 23V, I wasn’t sure whether the solar panel can be connected directly to the power station. I tried to find more information on the Powermaxusa web site. But this product is not even listed. The only products listed on their web site are batteries. I tried emailing customer service but didn’t receive a reply. I also tried calling several times. One the 3rd time, I actually reached a person. But she knew nothing about the product. She asked me to resend my original email to her, so she can forward to a product specialist. I verified she received my email, but never heard back from anyone. Overall, I think this is a high-quality product that has many uses. But I can’t find any information on the internet about it at all. And there’s no customer support. So if you get this power station and run into problems, you’re on your own. ... show more
