  • Very nice generator, works great.
Style: Powermate 7500W Dual Fuel
I wired my house with the four prong twist lock that this generator and many others have. Assembly wasnt difficult but pictures / diagrams were small. Put oil in, gasoline, pulled the cord and started first pull, very impressed. Noise is below average by ear. Has a spark arrestor. Runs good on propane as well. I liked the idea of having two different fuels, just more options if gasoline becomes scarce. And propane stores indefinitely unlike gasoline. But propane won't work well in the winter months. Ran the whole house on it and had no issues. Boiler, fridge and chest freezer, well pump, and the electric kettle to really draw some watts. It's kind of pinkish, not red, I don't really care but just thought I'd note that. I realize these generators don't have a lot of time on the market yet, and reviews are scarce so I wanted to leave one. It says generac all over it, I can only guess this is there new "homeowner" or "entry level" line of generators. I wish it had electric start but then that means a battery to maintain as well. I valued the dual fuel over that. And the price was very attractive for a 7500 watt starting generator. ... show more

  • Awesome
I love how easy the generac engine starts. 1 pull fires it up. It doesnt weigh too much either. It can run a 10000btu ac and charge multiple devices all at once and last almost a whole day on just a few gallons of gas. Excellent generator. It is not campground rated though. So noise level is a little up there but still not terrible. It worth the money. ... show more

  • Good generator, slightly more quiet than expected
Style: PM7500, 49 ST
Took forever to get here but after 4-5 power outages, i like it alot. Starts easy, rolls easy on concrete but may be a challenge for older folks. Powers most of my house but did have to shut off and restart it a couple times as my new Heating system wouldnt power on all the way. Phase issue?

Fast delivery works great in power outages replaced my old one that was 20 years old. Easy to start runs about 14 hours on a tank of fuel. I am pleased and recommend this item?

  • Great value
Style: PM7500, 50 ST
It works well, acceptable noise level & uses far less gas than our old one. So far we are quite pleased with it. Update: It broke down after two months, the motor literally blew up. Soon after talking to Generac we took it to an authorized repair shop where it’s set ever since. Generac has come up with nonsense we need to supply to prove we were doing the appropriate maintenance in the two months it worked. Today the repair shop claims Generac requires RECEIPTS to prove we bought OIL! Who keeps things like that?! Oh but the repair shop kindly offered to get rid of the generator for us aka they’ll fix n sell it! So now we have to drive 4 hours round trip to pick up our broken generator next week. Their so called 3 year warranty I was so excited about isn’t worth the paper it’s written on. I really thought this was a good deal but wound up getting scammed. Please don’t waste your money. FYI my husband said the motor has a balance shaft in it which it doesn’t need so the heavy vibration causes the balance shaft to bang around in there which caused the damage to the motor ending in its destruction. He’s a recently retired mechanic n couldn’t understand the purpose behind the unnecessary shaft unless it’s added to cause said damage ensuring the necessity of replacement parts or buying a new generator. All I know is buyer beware. ... show more
