This is a very good RC for someone wanting to get into the hobby and not spend big $$$. It comes with 2 Deans plug batteries, charger, remote and parts install instruction. It has oil filled shocks, alignment control, throttle control. It's fairly quick and has plenty of power. This is almost just like the RC cars that my friends had when I was a kid. Back then to get something even close to this, you had to go to a hobby shop. This thing is super fast. All wheel drive can run right through a regular length lawn with no problem at all. The wheels spin out when you hit the gas, and it power slides when you stop and turn at the same time. Unfortunately, I had to put this back in the box after only a little while because I am giving it to my kids for Christmas, but it looks pretty solid. The drive shafts are metal, and there is a metal plate protecting the bottom. Many of the other parts are plastic, but for some parts it is probably better for them to have some flex anyway. I also presume this amount of plastic is probably pretty typical for most of these RC cars. The remote feels a little on the cheaper side, but it does the job.     • Surprised how close to hobby grade!
I’ve always been hesitant to look at RC cars outside of the normal hobby grade ones I’m used to. With that, I looked at this one and saw some of the highlighted features and thought how much it started to look like the entry level Arrma trucks in the hobby. So I took a chance on it and when it arrived I was shocked. This is probably the closest I’ve found here to a hobby grade RC. Many of the features are similar for what you’d expect from an entry level hobby grade car. Metal gears, metal parts, brushed motor and ESC, oil filled shocks, etc. At the price, it’s a very fair deal for what you get. The size is comparable to the 1/16 cars in the hobby and it runs on 2s Lipo. It’s actually a lot of fun to drive. It comes with a typical RTR style radio, nothing fancy but does the job. My only concern which crosses over to all RC cars is support. Parts, upgrades, etc. I can’t speak to any compatibility with other brand vehicles or to what (if any) parts support there is for this. Overall I am very pleased with what I got. Again, very surprised at the similarities to hobby grade entry level vehicles. I originally got this for my son but I may be keeping this one just because of how fun it is to drive. I hope this helps you! ... show more

1:16 scale is about 12 inches long by 9 inches wide. all built and ready to drive. just need 4 AA batteries for the remote which is cheesy and cheap plastic but does the job. i like that you can make micro adjustments on front wheel alignment and throttle through the remote knobs. i turned the throttle down so full acceleration is not that fast. car is responsive with throttle and steering and does go quite fast so adult supervision for younger kids is needed. the ESC controller is a nice touch as my older RC car is mechanical and parts get hot whereas the ESC doesn't. the car power button is on the ESC and you have to press the button to turn it on and off. you can barely reach it with the car shell installed but if you want to connect or disconnect the battery, you have to take off the 4 cotter pins to take the shell off. it does come with an extra battery which is huge for extra run time and if one battery ever dies. overall quality is solid with metal gears, base plate and full suspension. fun car indeed!!! ... show more

*This is fun to drive around my backyard. It is made of high quality, durable parts and the shell is a flexible plastic that is hard to damage. It helps to have not one, but two rechargable batteries. It has a small dial that allows the user to set the max speed from normal to extra fast.

The media could not be loaded. Wow! We have a remote control car enthusiast in our home, and he is thoroughly impressed with the quality of this Powerextra RC Cars for Adults! It has an actual metal chassis, impressive shock absorbers, and lights that are functional! The lights are especially fun at night! The remote and the car handles well, it did lose signal a for just a moment when it traveled a fair distance away but it caught up quickly. The batteries take some time to charge - but aside from that, this is a FUN car to play with! The kit comes with two batteries, a charger, basic tools and extra clips. To be honest, an RC car of this quality is usually far more costly than this one is - which is truly a wonderful surprise! This price point makes this Powerextra RC Car VERY giftible! I couldn't help but smile ear to ear and laugh as I launched it far and flung dirt around like a maniac. It's perfect for adults who want to recapture that fun. The high suspension makes it great for driving over grass and dirt, and it can take some serious bumps, ramps, and crashes thanks to its full metal skid plate. It comes with two batteries that last a good 30 minutes each, depending on how you drive.
