If you need to sand a small part, cutoff a small bolt, polish a small item, grind a small area, or drill a small hole, this is ideal for that type of work. It has three speeds, and the on off button doubles as to changing speeds too. This tool doesn't spin particularly fast, and it has very low torque (things can stop it spinning quite easily). A carrying case would have been nice to have, too, since otherwise you have to keep the cardboard box or have the loose tool just sitting around. That being said, it is very convenient having this battery powered and extremely lightweight rotory tool on hand for use in any location.
