  • Make planting flowers so much easier!
Color: Black
The media could not be loaded. I am thrilled with the Power Planter DIY Guru Garden Auger! This 3"x12" drill bit hole digger has revolutionized the way I tackle gardening tasks. If you're a gardener or landscaper, this tool is an absolute must-have. First and foremost, let's talk about efficiency. This auger makes digging holes an absolute breeze. Whether I'm planting bulbs, installing fence posts, or creating holes for shrubs, the Power Planter gets the job done in a fraction of the time it would take with traditional methods. The 3-inch diameter is perfect for a wide range of tasks. It effortlessly cuts through soil, even in tough or compacted areas. The depth of 12 inches is ideal for most planting needs, providing ample room for roots to grow and thrive. One of the standout features is the 3/8" non-slip hex drive. This ensures a secure connection to my drill, giving me confidence that the auger will stay in place during use. The hex drive design is also excellent for preventing slipping, even in dense or rocky soil. The build quality of the Power Planter is outstanding. It's sturdy and durable, built to withstand the rigors of regular use in the garden. The construction is solid, and the auger bit is sharp and efficient, making quick work of any digging task. Additionally, the versatility of this tool is impressive. Not only is it great for digging holes, but it also serves as a fantastic bulb planter. I've used it to effortlessly create perfect holes for bulbs, ensuring they're planted at the ideal depth for optimal growth. In conclusion, the Power Planter DIY Guru Garden Auger is a gardener's best friend. It's efficient, versatile, and built to last. If you're tired of back-breaking manual digging or want to speed up your planting process, I highly recommend adding this auger to your gardening arsenal. It's a game-changer that will save you time and effort while producing fantastic results. ... show more

  • Garden Tool That Works
Color: Black
Our city gave away thousands of plant bulbs on a first come first serve basis. My wife got over 60. This bit worked great. Made my life easier getting them planted.

  • Really works well
Color: Black
Really impressed with this product. Was able to dig a bunch of holes to plant some bulbs, would’ve taken me hours but only took me 45 minutes. Looking forward to using it more in spring when we start our garden.

  • Loved this for my clay soil
Color: Black
This was very easy to use and helped me dig in my clay soil so much easier and faster. The price has gone up since I bought this. I was going to get the next size up, but now I don’t know if I will be getting any more. This one works great and is very well made.

  • So glad we got this! Husband is very happy. Need large electric drill!
Color: Black
I was in search of a bulb auger and could not find one with true good reviews. So I decided to get this instead, and WOW this is great , if you have a beefy electric drill with side handle. Fortunately we do! ( A battery operated drill doesn’t have the power to drive this in tough clay soil.) We have tough clay rocky soil. We have used it 5 times so far to plant small bushes. We also used it to get rid of some vine bush thing that was overtaking a bed of roses that had been neglected for years. It took about an hour with the auger. Without the auger, it may have taken 4 to 6 hours and we probably wouldn’t have gotten rid of all the sucker roots! It was a life saver! It seems very well made, and I expect it to last a long time. Here’s what worked for us. 1.When needing to plant a bush or shrub, my husband ( age 74) drilled holes about 7 inches apart around the perimeter of the needed space , then used a spade to remove the soil. Additional drilling was often needed to make the hole deep enough. 2. Dealing with rocks and roots. As others have mentioned, when the auger grabs hold of a root or larger rock it can force the drill and your hands down to the surface rapidly. At first it is best just to let go of your tool, otherwise you may be injured. a. Be careful and try to avoid working directly above rocks or other border materials. Having your hand smashed against such material could be quite painful. b. As you learn to recognize that the auger has grabbed a root or rock, immediately reduce speed, then put it in reverse. When you do this, it will often pull up the rock. 3. I haven’t planted my bulbs yet, but I know this will make quick work of that task! ... show more
