These pans are not high quality and are not heavy gauge stainless steel. They do not work on induction stoves and on regular stoves you have to be very careful to cook on low to medium heat or they burn. There were no instructions in the packaging as to use or care. They cannot be preheated without liquid or they will scorch. These are good for in a pinch cooking or for a second home. Not anything I would recommend for every day use as they will not hold up. The pots and pans are on the thin side but are stainless steel. The set is small and comes with two pots, a pan, and two lids. The look is nice and the size is fine for smaller households or dishes. The price point isn't bad on this set. You have to cook on low heat due to the thin metal. It's too easy to burn food in this set. So, although they look good, they aren't the best. When I first opened these pots up I was sure they were aluminum and not stainless steel based on how the outside of the pots looked, but apparently they are brushed stainless steel on the outside. The interior is definitely stainless steel. This is a good starter set for someone or in my case a good set for the camper. They may not be high end but they certainly get the job done. ... show more

If you are in need of a basic pots and pans set then this kit would work, especially for your kids who are venturing out on their own. The kits comes with your basic pots and pans needed for cooking and the overall quality is good but not excellent. This is a light weight manufactured pots and pans not like an "All Clad" cooking set. It will work on the stove and easy to clean but the life cycle of these pots and pans would likely be for a few years until the individual purchases the next level of cooking utensils and crockery for their home or business.
