  • Really nice for $70
Really good skateboard for the price. Coming from a skater. -Deck Pros -Holds up really well for $70 -Easy to ollie on -Cool graphics Cons -Kind of hard to flip top to bottom -A little heavy Altogether: 5 stars -Trucks and Hardware Pros -Holds up really well to grinds -Breaks in really well -Looks good -Hardware holds solid Cons -Heavy. I probably would buy little lighter trucks if your going street. Fine for ramps. Altogether: 3.5 for street skating, 5 for ramps. -Wheels and Bearings Pros -Wheels are absolutely fine, work great for smooth surfaces -Bearings are really good. Over a 1 minute spin. Cons -None Altogether: 5 stars Griptape works great. Overall I would say it's worth $70. 4.5 stars. ... show more

  • Getting back after years..
I used to stake in my early teens. Now, not a teen anymore, I wanted a simple but solid board, nothing fancy to get back on four wheels and ollie once in a while whenever I get bored and want to spend some time in the park or ride down a few blocks. The board is great. Probably best I've ever had. Surprisingly, it was good to go just as I got it. The trucks seemed a little loose but that's mostly because I've always ridden tight trucks and wanted to learn and get used to riding looser trucks. Grip was very good, made a hole in my old Vans (not a problem - they were worn out anyway). Just remember NOT TO take your newly bought shiny shoes when you plan on kicking some flips. They're gonna be ruined quickly. Very happy with it. Recommend it to everyone, beginners, people like me -- coming back after years. ... show more

  • Easy to maneuver on concrete.
Purchased for my 10 year old grandson as a Christmas present. He had only used a skateboard a few times so was definitely a beginner. He also knew enough not to use the board inside on slick tile or wood floors. We took him to a school parking lot and he did fine. The board seemed easy for him to use, has good balance and movement. ... show more

  • Buy This Now!
I ordered this skateboard on a random impulse, as I wanted to begin skating. I am 18 years old and the only skateboard I had owned before this one was a cheap $20 board that I bought just for looks. First of all, the board came really, really fast. I mean less than 48 hours fast, and I hopped on it as soon as I could. I didn't have any clue about skateboards so I went by the reviews that said it was good, and they were right. The board seemed a little large at first but now I love it. I'm extremely happy about this purchase and wouldn't change a thing. I skateboard around my college campus and wherever I need to go, and the board holds up. The trucks are sturdy, the wheels are spectacular, and I prefer this board over any "professional" board such as PlanB. I didn't even have to loosen any of the wheels, they all spin like a dream. Go buy this product now. I promise you won't regret it! ... show more

  • Very nice, apart from when a wheel suddenly jams
I bought two of these, one for my son and one for myself. I thought I'd keep him company :) One of the boards has been fine. In general the construction seems very good. However, one of the boards occasionally "jams". That is, one of the wheels gets stuck and the whole board just slows down dramatically, it has caused me to come off the board, luckily not at high speed. I have taken off the wheels and taken a look at the bearings. They look fine - no grit, or anything in there. I have added oil, to see if that would help. No luck - still the same problem. This has been happening since I got the board - so I put it down to a manufacturing issue with the bearings (my best guess). Based on other reviews, it sounds like I have been unlucky with this board. But I wanted to let others know of this potential problem. Update 5/25/13: I contacted Positiv about the issue and they sent me a replacement set of bearings for free. ... show more

  • Great quality, affordable price
I'm a 20 year old guy and I bought this skateboard for myself after reading other reviews indicating that this was a good quality product for a reasonable price. I have previously only had a skateboard from Walmart when I was 13, which was the biggest disappointment I'd ever saved up for as a kid, as it broke immediately, and during it's short life, was impossible to steer. The Positive skateboard is everything I wished and hoped for the first time I bought a skateboard. It handles wonderfully, and has held up to abuse of a grown man learning to skate for the first time. ... show more

  • Nice board!!
Bought this board for my 10 yr old son. He loves it! Simple bright graphics. Runs smooth & straight. Was hard finding a board for this age group that didn't have negative, strange, or somewhat demonic images. As others have mentioned, board comes with Mini-Logo trucks (not Positiv trucks as described). Not sure if that affects performance though. Seems this brand has been phased out of Skate 1's lineup of brands. If so, it's a pity. Truly a 'Positiv' buying experience. ... show more
