  • Great tool for sheep and goat people!
For the price point this is a great little scanner. We use it to Ultrasound sheep. Based on the size and portability of the unit it works great to scan for pregnancies in the field or without handling equipment or a chute. The transducer (wand) does take getting used to as it has a freeze frame button on the wand that I kept pressing accidentally during the scans. And the wand does get a little slippery at times. But overall a great tool to know who is pregnant and who is not. Or check to make sure a ewe is still pregnant and hasn’t aborted. PROS: portability and size are great. Comes with an adjustable neck strap to keep your hands free and keeps it from being damaged by a jumpy animal. Unit is simple in design and use so not a large learning curve to be able to use it. Transducer wand is small enough to get into tight places. Rubberized case protects unit from accidental bumps. Also comes with a harder plastic carrying case to store the unit, cord and transducer. Charge seems to hold up to and gives you a cord free use for a fairly long time. We didn’t use it for more than two hours on a charge but it held up for the whole time. CONS: Depth the probe can view is only about 6.5 inches max and resolution is not that of the more expensive machines. Also, keeping the transducer jelly on the head of wand was a challenge. We had better luck wiping the gel on the ewe and then placing the wand. And a minor point but the transducer does make a vibrating/clicking/flickering noise that is audible and may set off a flighty sheep or goat but most weren’t triggered by it. Overall a great management tool for your farm or business. ... show more

  • Buyer Beware
Buyer BEWARE! Unless you want to spend a lot of money on something that can’t be used and the company WON’T contact you back to help you. I have been in chat groups trying to figure out what settings to use and EVERY setting I tried doesn’t work. I can’t get a clear picture to determine pregnancy.

  • Good for pregnancy confirmation
I found this machine easy to use once I understood what each function was. It's not very intuitive to the average person. The picture is good enough to verify pregnancy, check fetal heartbeat, do early measurements on probably medium to large breeds. On my toy sized dogs this was highly inaccurate and off by weeks. So wouldn't suggest measurements on toy or small breeds. Overall for the money this is an incredible value if you are a dog or cat breeder. I could see it being helpful post deliver to make sure no more babies are in the uterus. Before you buy, I'd recommend the step up model with the better ultrasound probe. It will get you better quality imaging. If it's in budget, absolutely upgrade. Otherwise this one will do great and with good care it will last you a long time. I have started recommending this machine to my peers. The convenience is great. ... show more

  • outdated
I bought this less than 3 years ago and it is easy to use, but looking for a convex probe has turned out to be a nightmare! obviously the V12 is not available for a reason

  • It’s good
It’s fantastic :) very portable, simple to use. I originally had the contec. I don’t recommend that one. It just never worked right. And it was a pain to tote around. This small female had 3 little babies. I’m in love 😍

  • Disappointed
Was just finally able to use this to try and confirm pregnancy in my dog. Not a great picture, directions are more for farm animals as opposed to dogs and I found them not to be very clear. Couldn't even tell for sure if she was expecting. Wish I could return it.

  • Stopped working after two uses.
I am very disappointed. I received the ultrasound machine. I used it a times and the screen went black and it no longer works. I am returning it for a full refund. I literally just shipped it off via UPS as they instructed me. I will be back to review my refund experience. I waited forever to be able to buy one of these machines so to have the first one I purchase malfunction is quite discouraging. ... show more

  • Compact.
Like the price. Like the portability. The probe is too big and bulky to use on small animals. (Toy poodles). Wish the probe was smaller so you can check for pregnancy while the small animal is standing up. Otherwise, you have to lay the animal down because there’s no space for the probe to move while standing up. It’s also too grainy. ... show more
