Using for heating an outdoor small greenhouse during freezing temps. It did the trick nicely. I would NOT have gotten the remote version if I had realized it though. You have to get so close to the unit for the remote to work so it seems almost useless.

I bought this for one of my fur babies who wants to sleep outside all year around, but can’t stand the cold weather. ( he goes pp multiple times a night) I set it up on a stool in front of the dog house opening. Safe distance and height. I plugged it to a surge protector and turned it on. It was downright toasty in there and my little old man loved it. It ran all winter (short winters in Louisiana) under our insulated patio. Never overheating, never an issue. It was not in a position to get wet, so I felt very safe using it outside. Next winter, it’ll be coming out again. (It’s also good for short distance comfort if you turn it towards you in a chair). I definitely recommend this product if you can safely use it for your set up. ... show more
