At first this dryer was causing an electrical short because of its high wattage (850 watts). I reached out to different people until I sent a photograph of my circuit breaker to someone who understands electrical appliances and loads on circuit breakers. The solution is to run the dryer on an isolated circuit (in my case the bathroom plug) with no other lights or appliances running on that circuit. The management staff and customer service of the dryer company spent quality time helping me get the dryer to work in my apartment and I’m extremely grateful for working with me and caring that I have a positive outcome. As for the dryer, it’s fairly quiet and really is effective in drying the clothes. Just make sure that you have a portable washer that properly spins out the clothes so that they are damp and not sopping wet. The dryer will effectively dry the clothes in about half an hour to 40 minutes on the high cycle. The dryer is easy to set up and maintain and is a blessing to me. My utility room is being renovated, which means my full size washer and dryer are out of commission for the time being. Rather than mess with the laundromat, we opted to get a portable washer and dryer that would fit in my big bathroom. This dryer is exactly right for the portable washer loads. They are smaller loads than the full size - I'd say I'm washing about a third of what I'm used to in a load and my full size is heavy duty and extra large load capacity. So, whatever a third of that is, that's what I'm getting in a load. I have a large family, so that means a few loads are done every day, and there's always a load of towels to do. Even under such frequent use, this little dryer is holding up very well. It's pretty basic and very easy to use. The cost is reasonable for the quality, in my opinion, and I'd definitely get this dryer again as well as recommending it to others. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Notice: This product was received at no charge as part of the Amazon Vine program but this is an unbiased review. Even though it’s a smaller sized dryer, it’s able to get the clothes dry, and it does an acceptable job for what it is. It’s probably best for a single person in a studio apartment without easy access to a laundry room, or maybe even a student in a dorm room. The dryer works off of a 120V outlet. It stands 22 inches high and about 19 inches across. The outside is all metal and it’s solidly built. It weighs in at just under 40 pounds, and it comes in grey or white, I think the grey looks very nice. The inside rotating drum is stainless steel and it’s 17 inches across and 9 ½ inches deep, and the door opening is 10 inches. There are two separate cycles. There’s the timed heated cycle, and there’s the air-dry cycle. You can run it on the timed heated cycle for up to 200 minutes if you have a big load. They say it will hold up to 10 pounds of laundry, so it’s possible to pack a bunch of wet clothes in it, but that’s beyond its reasonable capabilities. It’s probably best for small loads like a couple of blouses, a skirt, and some socks, or two or three t-shirts and some running shorts. Testing the drying temperatures, at the first part of the cycle when the clothes were still damp, the inside temp was 95° to 98°, and the air from the exhaust was 105°. As the clothes were nearly dry at the end of the cycle, the inside temp was up to 105° to 107° and it was up to 115° at the back of the drum. However, when I compare this to my full sized dryer you can see the limitations of a 120V appliance. My full sized gets up to 150° or more. All in all, it’s a very convenient appliance to have when you need to dry a small load. It’s small enough to store in a closet and you can bring it out when needed. ... show more
