I use this as a sperate controller just for my moving head lights and put 1 light on one of the 12 scanner buttons along the top of the controller. 8 Channels across give me pan, tilt, master, red, green, blue, white, and speed. If I use 14 channel mode the page button allows me to access channel 9-16. Light 1 = DMX Channel 001 Light 2 = DMX Channel 017 Light 3 = DMX Channel 033 Light 4 = DMX Channel 049 etc. Light # x 16 and that is your starting DMX address for that light. Great for creating steps/scenes then applying any scene as a step in a chase to create great fx. Hit a chase button, tap or sync to musing and you have a light show. ... show more

    • Avoid this product (and any duplicates out there) PERIOD.
Most of the DMX controllers on Amazon have bad reviews. I choose this one thinking it would be the better of the options. I was WRONG. It is not easy to use. My understanding of DMX did not apply with this product. I even watched the non-audio tutorial video they give in the pictures following their steps to the letter, and nada! Got nothing! Poor poor quality. Save your money. Look elsewhere. If it's made by a name brand it will be expensive but appears is the only way to be assured the quality and ease of use. Which this product (and any duplicates you see) does NOT offer you. Buyer beware. One star because I can't give zero. Or I would! ... show more

Instructions are not put together well. After sitting down with it for over an hour I had all the fixtures programmed. I turned the unit off for the night and back on the next day only to find it lost over half the fixtures in the program. I have spent 30 mins trying to get back into DMX programming mode but it will not allow me. ... show more
