I bought this controller after having always bought numark mixtracks, from the first one to the platinum. I have to admit, this is DEFINITELY the best controller i have ever owned. The jogwheels feel so much nicer than all the previous ones, the crossfader is very good and the audio quality is great. There was like one or maybe two days of getting used to the change in position of the pitch faders, but other than that, this controller is great. Would recommend it to any beginner or someone looking to have a backup controller or one for smaller gigs. ... show more

baby brother if the REV-7. Has majority of the same features as any of the high end controllers on the market. Perfect for someone learning and for DJs that live stream. Small and lightweight so it’s easy to set it up anywhere. Bc of the size I don’t like to use it for gigs bc it looks amateurish. I still plan to get a REV-7 once I can afford to and the REV-1 will be my stay at home, practice and live stream controller ... show more

La controladora llegó en perfecto estado, bien protegida, muy resistente y de buenos materiales, tiene el tamaño ideal, ni demasiado grande ni demasiado pequeña. Su único detalle a considerar en mi opinión, es que sólo trabaja con Serato, y exige muchas especificaciones en la laptop que se vaya a usar, me tuve que comprar una PC nueva, porque la viejita que tenía no movería semejante máquina , pero era hora de actualizarla igual, la recomiendo 100% ... show more

    • Controller was supposed to be brand new, but clearly was not
My wife and kids got my the REV1 controller as a surprise for Father's Day. Immediately when it was delivered, my wife feared something was not right with it. The item was shipped in the controller box with a shipping label slapped on it, along with several other brown stickers on the outside to cover portions of the box that had other stickers or damage, with no other protection. Clearly, that box is not meant to ship the unit in by itself as the edges was all bent in and damaged. When I picked it up, the box was very light, and I could feel/hear something loose inside. The tabs at the top of the box were not secured at all and you could tell they had been tampered with. Upon opening the box, the controller was visibly used: extremely dirty, dusty, no plastic sleeve or bag surrounding the unit or the Styrofoam, the sliders and knobs you could see had visibly been used/moved, and the USB cord was just thrown loose in the box without even a tie around it. Needless to say, I was disappointed, considering this was supposed to be brand new direct from Pioneer DJ. I'm hoping Pioneer sees this and makes things right. Wasn't much point in trying the unit out. I should not have to spend time thoroughly cleaning/blowing/dusting the jog wheels and components of a brand new unit before even using it the first time. ... show more

It all boils down to layout configuration and what you want going forward I Would definitely recommend for a brand new beginner (who knows they want to transition to vinyl/battle configuration setups down the line) or more experienced DJs looking for a compact battle-style configured controller as a backup. I’m an intermediate DJ. Been spinning for about 3-4 years I purchased the rev 1 to move my first controller the DDJ SB3 (another very good controller) to the backup role as with my experience up to now, I know I want to move to a battle style set up going forward (rev 7, 2 Rane 12’s and an S11 style mixer, etc..) and thought now was a good time to start developing my muscle memory in that direction. If that's you, go ahead and get this one If you're not sure, just go ahead and get a controller to get you in the game. This one would still be a good choice. You just may have to do some re-learning if you want to switch to another configuration. If you know you prefer the club-style CDJ style set up, then don't buy this one and go with the SB3 or similar style controller. I just received mine earlier today and have literally played around with it for about 10-15 min. F impression is that I love it!! Super excited. It Will take some getting used to for sure which I expected, but I know I’ll adjust. I’m already loving the fx levers btw. I hope this was helpful. ... show more
