I like that it stood up to wind nicely so far. The lower pole goes into sand easily using the rod attached by a chain and inserted thru hole to make turning handle. Unusual set up but works fine. Tip, screw in until it feels firm. It took more c turning to accomplish this than other umbrellas I had. Then remove rod and insert opened umbrella lower than rod hole. This umbrella was a nice color, lightweight, and kept the sun off. However, it advertised a screw bottom to make putting it in sand easier, which while a good concept, wasn’t really that helpful. I still had to pre-dig a hole to keep it from blowing away. Otherwise, once it’s in the ground it’s a good umbrella, and I like the tilt feature (it kept us from having to move it as much as the time of day changed). ... show more

I bought this umbrella and a Nautica one from Sam's Club. This one withstood the winds all day for a whole week with no problem. The Nautica one was right beside it and it could not with stand the same winds. The metal frame was much stronger on this one and the material was much better.
