Assembly is pretty easy, the instructions are pretty clear and easy to follow. The hoop is well made and seems pretty sturdy and stable. Got this to give my 12 year old nephew something to do when he's at my house and he loves it. Downside is that the height adjustment does require a little bit of work as it's a matter of adding or taking out a portion of the support post but if you aren't needing to adjust it often, or at all, it's a great investment ... show more

Hard to setup. This more of a 2 person job, maybe even 3 for certain parts. Pieces are marked, but the directions are not explained thoroughly, which is what made the setup harder. It is easily adjustable. Some of the screws did not stay in, we actually put cement glue on the bottom pieces where the wheels are. My kids tracked the shipping for this like it was a lifeline. Haha. That said, it took a little longer to get here than was expected because it was shipped past us a couple times. The product itself is fantastic. They have been playing ball every night and it works perfectly.

    • Height adjustment has a catch!

I found it pretty disingenuous that one of the product photos says "easy to adjust" 5sec, but nowhere does the description or photos say that you'll need to add or remove a pole (via bolts using tools) to reach the full range. While you can lower it down to 4.9' and raise it to 10', you actually can't achieve that full range all at once. The main pole that extends from the base to the top has a few sections. To get the lowest height, you take out one section (with bolts, not a trivial task) and to get the full regulation height you add back in one section. Otherwise you're limited to 4.9'-6.9' with the pole out, and 8'-10' with the third pole in! Assembly was pretty straightforward. Pay attention to the numbering of the bolts - there are a few nearly-identical ones that have specific locations. It's probably possible to do the whole thing by yourself, but there were a few spots where it was very nice to have a second set of hands. We filled the base with water and I also added two large pavers to the base, and it hasn't blown over yet in our windy subdivision. ... show more
