The backboard markings started to separate from the backboard and the rim started to rust. I contacted the company via their website. The next morning I received an email from a customer service representative. He stated that they had some issues with the backboards and rims for this product and offered to send out replacements. A durable and sturdy pool basketball set that provided hours of fun for my grandkids and adults. The only problem was the rim rusted and eventually snapped. I called customer service and sent them a screenshot of my order from Amazon. Elijah told me there had been an issue, but it’s been corrected. He sent me a new rim which I easily installed. It was a little pricier than we wanted to spend but it certainly is a quality hoop. Assembly required two adults but was very straight-forward and the quality of tools they provided were very impressive. Definitely bring your water hose to the exact spot where you want the hoop as the hoop gets very heavy once the base is filled. We've only had in the elements for a week and so far it looks very nice. Hopefully that will continue throughout the season. The hoop came with two 9 in basketballs, net, airpump and needle so everything is supplied. Locating the base of the hoop 8 inches back from the pool edge (as instructed) is great as made shots literally bounce off the pool edge and rebound straight out! We're going to have many hours of fun with this hoop this Summer. ... show more

I receieved this product, and immediatly put it up for my son and his friends to play with. They are 5-7 year olds, who stayed entertained for hours playing with, until my husband noticed discoloration to the bottom right corner of the backboard approx 1 month after install, and realized it had come loose from the white frame, and this continued to get worse, until now it is no longer attached on the entire right side. For the amount of money you pay for this item as compared to other cheaper products, I would recommend going with a cheaper alternative, because in this case you dont get what you pay for, and instead you get a cheaply made expensive basketball goal that will only last you half of a summer season, so why not fet the cheaper alternative that will last you the same amount of time. To the manufacturer, please make this right, either a refund or a new backboard replacement. ... show more

In the beginning.. seemed like a great product. Sturdy and adjustable. Noticed some bubbles in the dark blue just weeks after assembling. Didn't know those bubbles would turn into the whole clear plastic delaminating /starting to fall and also dropping blue /white plastic paint chips into the pool. Definitely a manufacturing problem. For the price this should not happen. UPDATE: Manufacture promptly replied to email (Info@playgosports.com) and is sending replacement parts. My 3 boys spend 90% of their time in our pool playing with this basketball hoop. As far as pool toys/games go - it far exceeds anything else we have to keep them and their friends busy/happy/playing in the pool. Not only that, but we had issues with the frame peeling away and the rim getting rusted after ~1 1/2 years of use and the company’s customer service team was extremely kind and receptive and sent us replacements free of charge. I’ve had the hoop for over a year. It’s solid and the size is perfect. It stays by the pool throughout the year. The wear and tear in the Florida sun is brutal. The backboard fell off and the hoop rusted. I’m outside the warranty but P&P have replaced both no questions asked. I appreciate them.
