Totally not 16000 btu. Totally won't cool 800 sq ft like ad said. I got it for a 400 sq ft space and wouldn't even cool it below outside temp. It does blow cold, if you need to cool a small closet.

    • Stopped working after 2 days
Returning for refund. Stopped working after 2 days. First the MODE Led light stopped working then hours later it’s blowing warm air while in AC mode. I turned the unit off. After about two hours I turned it on again and it was blowing cool air again but it didn’t last long. Before it stopped blowing cool air it was apparent it was not going to effectively cool the 700 sg. ft. space. I believe the seller description of this unit is misleading. I’m no expert but this appears to be more like 8000 BTUs. ... show more

Honestly, it does work... That's the only positive because I wanted a larger unit to make a small space 450sq ft really cold. Instead I got a unit that'll achieve 78 in the space which is ok... But it's not ok for a unit rated at 16k but which is where I take issue. The unit states it has 850w cooling. That alone is a clear indication that this unit is far from 10k but even... Realistically probably 5k-8k but at most. I have it two stars because auto mode is cool if it's hotter than 78 it'll ac less than that fan and when the temp drops below 68 it'll kick to heater. The app connectivity works great but unless you're a technician by training or trade, good luck figuring out how to hook it up. I do train this stuff for a living and I was able to figure it out but it's not really intuitive and it's not in the manual or the app as to how to pair the unit. Good luck with that one if you make the mistake of buying this. I traded out for a Westinghouse 14k btu and it's cooling wattage is 1250w which is 14k btu or likely closer to 12k btu sacc. Again read BUYER BEWARE! BTW if you really want this one, you can also order a similar unit from China for less than half this price. I won't list the site as I'm only mad at the seller.     • It’s gets really cold and it’s smaller the the average one
I was worried that it was going to run like a 5000 to 8000 BTU, like one of the people in the reviews said. I know my air conditioners because I started out with a 5000 BTU in the 80s, and it only cools right in front of it. So I tried to cancel, but it was too late. It came, I took it out of the box immediately and without connecting anything but the plug, turned it on. The little thing gets really cold and has lots of functions.     • Does Not Work as Advertised
I bought this item for the cooling of the square footage advertised. To boot, it does not even cool a 250-square-foot room. The air produced is barely cooled. Terribly disappointed. Is it possible to get my money back?

It’s a nice air conditioner, looks nice and it’s quiet. There’s absolutely no way it’s 16,000 BTUs. It barely cools the space around it.

I bought this portable air conditioner a couple of weeks back for overcoming the crazy sunny days here in California. It’s been a great buy so far for my 180 sq ft room. Cools the rooms pretty soon and does not make much noise. Was also easy to install with the guidelines mentioned.
