I found myself in a terrible situation with no ac and unable to have it replaced. The home has a small unit in the master plus a second unit that I did not care for. I put this in my bedroom and on the lower cool setting it’s enough to keep my room, the hallway and laundry room and a portion of the staircase up. This cooler is simple to use, but lacks the power to cool off a small room. I tried to use it to cool off my infants room for the summer, but I had to go with other methods because it's not bringing the room temperature down enough to be comfortable. This was a terrible decision to buy this. It didn’t make any difference, I’d rather have a box fan than this swamp cooler. I could barely see if the water was inside of the cooler, it shouldn’t be that hard to see. Don’t waste your money on this swamp cooler.

I received this product on August 5th, 2024 and based on the information about this air cooler I thought it would be ideal for a small room as advertised. I am very disappointed as the cooling system was not very effective.

    • A Well Designed Unite with Some Cons.

The good.- An alternative to a conventional air conditioner. The unite is powered by a conventional 115v power plug. The water reservoir is in the bottom so it doesn't evaporate away. You would want to use completely demineralized water. It has a remote. It has good cooling capacity. It uses freeze modules that you fill with water and put in the freezer for added cooling. Do not exceed the head space mark section just below the fill mark limit, you can always add water later. The cooling element that the water flows over is replaceable via 5 Phillips screws on the retaining enclosure. The bad- The unite water reservoir is filled by pouring water in the top, forward compartment tank and flows down a small fill access port. The fill procedure is a time consuming process as the access fill port is so restrictive. A fill plug over a filling port would make the filling less time consuming. The fill level indicator window is hard to see in low, ambient light, may need a flashlight to see it clearly. The front, directional lovers are initially hard to move and can easily become broken or unhinged, take care in adjusting, move the bottom and top lovers simultaneously. The bottom reservoir has a friction fit drain plug that is hard to remove. Overall the unite is well designed and operates as expected. Results will depend on ambient humidity and how well the living space is insulated from the outside environment. It may maintain a cooling level on the room you want cooled, depending on size and other factors, but not the whole dwelling area. It can at least keep you cooled over a fan air blower and better than other evap- coolers. ... show more
