This was purchased since the place I’m staying in does not have efficient cooling and during summer it would easily reach 90+ degrees in my room. Setup was super easy and cools my room down quickly. I love that it’s connected to wifi. Their app is very basic but you can set up the modes, fan speed to low or high, temp, if you want cooling, fan, or dehumidifier. It has an option to create a schedule to where it turns on at a certain time and off. Because it’s Wi-Fi entabled you can be anywhere and turn it on prior to returning home. The only con I can think of is that sometimes the timer I have to shut it off while I’m sleeping doesn’t work. Not sure why but it’s happened a few times now. It is kind of loud even on low fan speed when cooling but I just turn my tv up or when I’m wearing my razer headset while gaming I can’t hear it. Other than those two things I have zero complaints. This was one of the only portable ACs that Amazon would ship to my location so I was worried it wouldn’t be my top choice. But so far this thing works great and my living is an ice box now. The kit is a little too short for my living room window but it works fine. I just wish these things came with a step by step tutorial on installation but otherwise it was easy enough to set up. Update Aug 2024: I will ONLY recommend Pasapair for portable AC’s. Not only is my ac still working after two summers but it cools my room so fast. I needed a new air filter because mine was so caked on with wet dust and when I emailed them they promptly got one sent out to me and provided tracking! This works very well, and keep my area cool! I was only disappointed that there was no child lock fusion as described. I would come home and sometimes my cat would jump on the machine and turn it off.

I bought this unit for a small shed and set it up in the window using the included rickety flimsy parts included to test it. It kind of worked if you sit within a few inches of the unit. It was nearly impossible to keep the hose connected to the unit and the outlet and no way provided to keep it from being an inviting place for small animals to habitate. I went ahead and got the 12000 btu model to see if the two could maybe bring the temps down a couple degrees and found grates to permanently install them in the wall and hot glued the hose to the unit and while this one regularly works it can't appreciably lower the temperature in a 150 square foot area. Waste of time, money and space. Was able to connect it to WiFi easily and it's easy to control but it's not really needed in even the tinyest closet you would have to run it 24x7 to bring the temps down a couple degrees. ... show more

Bought this AC six months ago for my mom, who runs hotter than everyone else in the house. She's as happy as a penguin, and I was able to return the house thermostat to 74. Electricity bill dropped fifty dollars and the rest of us aren't freezing anymore. Maybe it's because she keeps it at 61 degrees, but I have to clean the filter (super easy) once a week, and I have to keep an eye on the water build-up. It rolls easily outside, where I hose spray the bottom vent about once a month of dusty build-up, and unscrew and drain the little opening at the bottom of the unit. Electrical tape around the hose connections keeps it from coming apart. The ice-cold happy customer is well worth it all. Would recommend this brand and buy it again if needed. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I love the size, the power, and the ease of use. Installation was mildly difficult as there are no details to the instructions. Also, I wish it didn’t rattle when the AC function comes on. Not quiet at all.
