With a combination of living in the south where it gets really hot during the summer, having a two story house with a vaulted ceiling, and my husband working from home upstairs, I was looking for a fan that would help keep the room heโ€™s in cool so we could keep the air conditioning from running constantly. This little fan has been perfect! Itโ€™s compact so it can easily sit on his desk or on a shelf, and the water tank with the filter makes the air feel really cold instead of just like room air.     • Keeps you cool, not the room
My un-airconditioned office gets pretty hot in the summer. I bought this, loaded it up with ice water, and pointed it directly at my computer chair from a few feet away. It faithfully (if a little noisy) shot a steady stream of cold air right at me as I worked, and I was much more comfortable. If you buy this expecting it to function like a tiny air conditioner, you will be disappointed. It doesn't make the room appreciably cooler in terms of air temp. But, pointed right at you, it will make you cooler. Which is not a bad trick at this price. ... show more

    • Fan is very weak
The fan is very weak and cannot be felt beyond a few feet. Blowing Air temp is no colder than 78 degrees, (checked with hand held thermal temperature tester.) By adding ice to the water tank it lowers the temp a few degrees but warms up quickly when ice melts. Do not waste your money.

This portable air conditioner has been going non-stop since it was delivered a few days ago. It's been a lifesaver. It's easy to operate and refill. There's no mess, no leaks. It covers a larger area than I expected given its relatively small size. I also like the design, and the various colored lights are a nice touch.
