This is a very cute bee/bug house. I took away one star for overall as whoever waxed this particular house did it in a sloppy - haphazard way. You can see Glops of wax in the photo, then there were spots with no wax at all. I like the look of it well enough that I took the time to scape off the wax applied at the company and made my own bees wax and jojoba oil coating and relaxed it. ... show more

This is well-made and cute. The coating is peeling off after less than a week outside, though. I will put some water sealer on it.

The media could not be loaded. We got this house at the perfect time, we saw a couple blue Orchard bees around our home and wanted a place for them to lay their eggs. It arrived quickly, beautifully put together and even a rope to hang it with. Within a few weeks we already have several bees calling it home. I love watching them zoom in and out. The 6 inch long straws are the perfect length for mason bees. My kids and I have learned so much about bees and the plants we can have in our backyard to help these bees out. I highly recommend this bee house! Totally worth it! My only comment is for the bottom to become a ladybug home, I don't know what I need to do. I'm not sure if I need to add twigs or straw? But I'm trying to research because I'd love ladybugs as well. ... show more
