A great deal of higher level Pickleball play revolves around muscle memory and disciplined shot placement. The PodiuMax dink pad is a great training tool that focuses on the areas that most Rec players ignore due to eagerness to play and lack of consistent drilling and practice. I’ve noticed improvements in consistency and hand speed, some of the split second decisions become a lot more automatic with use . Getting the mat positioned on the wall can be tricky. Make sure not to remove too much of the adhesive cover, so the exposed section won't stick to itself (see picture). It is not easy to fold it back once that inadvertently happens but with some patience I was able to get it unstuck and properly applied. ... show more

This is easy to use and to put on a wall. It has clearly detailed instructions to where to get the ball for different results. The wall acts as a rebounder and close the ball back to you so you can continue to train. If all the instructions and install it at the correct height and your pickleball game is going to become better, no matter your level of ability. As far as the price tag, it's a value purchase. I ordered this to make a pickle ball board to hang in my garage. It adhered well to the 3' X 6' sheet of 3/4" plywood, and it softened the impact of the ball somewhat. To my surprise, the graphics do help. I just wanted a rebounding board, but having the graphics causes me to concentrate more on accuracy and placement. The pad is slick like a poster on the front with clear and clean graphics. Under the top layer is a woven vinyl with strong adhesive backing - almost like duct tape in thickness and material. The thick paper backing is easy to “start” (just bend the corner), and peels back easily and cleanly. Don’t try to do it all at once, or you risk it sticking to itself (think duct tape sticking to itself). I peeled off a thin strip of the shorter side, stuck it to the wall, then gradually peel more and rubbed it down little by little. Seems quite durable and stuck very well to the wall. As far as graphics go, this is a perfectly serviceable pickle ball poster. It is not however what I would call a "pad," as I (perhaps mistakenly) infer a bit of thickness or vibration/sound absorption in that term. This poster is made of a vinyl-like material covered comprehensively on the back with a quite sticky adhesive that is exposed by peeling away a protective paper backing. The packaging's photos appear to suggest that the poster be mounted directly onto a handy wall. Unless you're looking for a Forever Graphic, please consider mounting the poster onto a piece of plywood or some other hard surface, then mounting that mobile surface securely onto a suitable wall location. The poster arrives loosely folded in a box. Several days later here and the creases are still intact. A simple shipping tube could have prevented this issue. Not sure how well/or if those wrinkles will eventually roll out when mounting. Hopefully someone will find out — but not me. ... show more
