I needed a stereo for my old 2007 Ford F150 (the old display from the factory stopped working). This looked to fit what I was looking for (it had a display, played the radio, and would connect to my phone for Spotify). I purchased a wiring kit for my Ford, a double DIN mounting kit, and an antenna adapter for the radio. The wiring worked easily enough. I ended up using some solder seal wire connectors (they have them on Amazon) that took me about an hour to solder them all on. Installation was a breeze with the kit and the whole process took me about 2 hours. The unit itself is nothing really special. It has a pretty decent equalizer that made the factory system sound like trash. It has some default EQ settings and one option for your custom EQ (would be nice to have at least 2 more). My biggest complaint is I wish the interface was a little better. I would love to have the source options on the bottom of the screen most of the time. I find myself hitting the home button and navigating through the menus to find what I am trying to connect to (would be nice to have the home button and then main audio options show up first). The phone link requires some Chinese app that looks very fishy when you download it. It didn't initially work when I plugged up my phone but after clicking some accept buttons I did get it to work. It didn't look anything better than what I could see on my phone. I just uninstalled it as I really didn't like the app being on my phone. I feel like it shouldn't need an app to work. It also requires the USB cable to be plugged into the phone in order for it to work. I didn't hook up the rear camera yet (might do that on a weekend when I got time.) It does look very cheap and is held in by 2 tiny zinc screws (which won't last long even if I plug it up). It also comes with a remote that doesn't include a battery (CR2025)(which who really needs a remote for a stereo in a car). For what I was looking for it fit the bill. I might look for something with a better menu system if I am getting something in the future. ... show more

Installed in a 2005 F150. Stock radio was a good one but only had radio and CD and the CD was dead. Wanted a good stereo but did not want to drop a lot of money on a truck I use as a secondary vehicle. I used to play in a band, did lots of song writing and composing and then production and multitrack recording. I also am an audiophile and have lots of really nice home stereo gear. So I know sound. I bought this solely based on Amazon reviews. Liked the comments about quick and good screen and ample power as I have amps but really did not want to wire them. Got the Meta wire kit, that part was easy. Popping the center plastic off the F150 was a little hard in that they use some serious clips. That thing is not falling off any time soon :>) Supplied brackets are not wide enough for the F150 (the biggest selling vehicle in the world!!!) so that was weird. Not a big deal, I bent them to work and got it installed in the perfect position. Once up and running I started to dial it in. First issue was there is not level control for the sub RCA out. My factory powered sub was WAY to loud and I could not get a ballance. I ended up taking it to a car stereo shop and they installed a in line, line level knob so I could control the level of the sub. That works OK, but is semi temperamental and introduces a low level hum I need to chase down. I installed Skar 6x8's with silk dome tweeters in the front and Infinities in the rear. Both sound VERY good. The on board multi band EQ works really well. Like others have said you do need to play with it a little to get the settings you want but overall is a good tone shaping tool and does not seem to add a lot of noise like many do. It has been a great feature for fine tuning my sound. I wish it had more than one "custom" setting. I like to EQ for radio/SD/Bluetooth as they all sound somewhat different. Overall I love it. Touch screen is well layer out, it respond well and works very good. The EQ works well. Navigating around the unit and features is pretty intuitive and works well. The amp is surprisingly string and clear. Will power the 4 6x8's to pretty loud levels before distortion starts to creep in. Pros: Value Touch screen is good Screen layout and look is good Amp is reasonably powerful Cons: Not a drop in install for the biggest selling vehicle on the planet No subwoofer level control Would like bolder more contrasted text on the SD screen and few other places for my 56 year old eyes Have not installed the back up cam so no thoughts there. Also have not used the phone feature more than to call my wife to verify it works. It does but I'm sure the quality is just OK. Over all I am very pleased with this unit for the price. Works really well and, with my new speakers and Sub volume control I can dial in a VERY good sound. ... show more
