Nice looking net , rubber coated , nice design , but handle slides in and out and you can twist the lock all day and it still won’t lock down. Shame because otherwise nice net. A little on the heavy side. Update, I finally got the handle to engage and lock in place. Gave it another star.

It’s a decent net for the price. However mine broke from normal wear and tear within 5 months. Also wish the handle was a little easier to use and there was some tie for the net.

I had already been using one of Plusinno's other foldable landing nets from my kayak, and it's worked very well for me. I found, though, that I also could use one when fishing from piers and other elevated positions where the elevation not only risks losing the fish, but more importantly puts undue stress on larger fish due to their weight pulling against the hook while being lifted. I purchased this net to help with that situation and put it to good use today. My son and I met a friend at a local catch-and-release pond and, between the three of us, we were able to land about 20 fish of various species...large mouth bass, blue cats, perch, and crappie. Some of the bass and all of the cats were large enough that the net proved extremely useful, especially since the blue cats have spines in their dorsal and pectoral fins. This net is a nice piece of engineering. It has a very compact footprint when folded but expands to a very high volume when unfolded. It's also pleasantly stable and rigid unlike some other nets which feel like they're ready to fold again. The telescopic handle is great for when you're several feet above or otherwise away from the water. The coarse-grained mesh is made out of thick, sturdy plastic such that it doesn't get tangled in the line or the fish too badly. I've used more fine-grained nets that sometimes have to be cut to extract a fish safely. I strongly recommend this net to anyone looking for a way to land their fish in a manner that's better for both the fisher and the fish. ... show more

What a great net! In reviewing the new Blue Floating Fishing Net, I would summarize that Plussino took an already amazing, quality, durable fishing net, and step it up another notch. From a company that is currently making its way into the fishing community, it is great to know that they are willing to listen to its customers and making the necessary changes to their products. With the combined efforts equals quality products. The new Blue Floating Fishing Net combines the already study handle build with a mixture of carbon fiber and fiber glass with a now floating net head. The net has a very similar look to the current model, but now two float tubes added to two of the three triangular sides. With the added floats, there is no need to worry about the net sinking or getting dropped of your kayak. The net itself is made from a nice snagless material that is very fish friendly. From tip to toe the whole net compresses to fit conveniently in your boat, kayak, car, or anywhere else compact. Overall this is a well product. From company to consumer, Plussino has listened and made a top quality product for any fishermen needing a fish net. Now with all the positivity and praise that I finished giving on this net, time for the one flaw in the near perfect net. I would say the one flaw is in the screw shaft extender on the shaft itself. It is located just underneath the belt clip and due to this, it makes it very difficult to tighten or loosen. Beings I really like this net, there is a way around this problem. My plan is to unscrew the two screws that hold the belt clip in place. Once that is removed, I will be able to extend and reduce the length of the shaft much easier. Again, this is a very well made product and allows for pulling in this fish off the bank, canoe, kayak, or anywhere else that a net is needed. ... show more
