    • Nostalgic console with a small downside
Wanted to pick this console up due to the fond memories i had of it years ago and i was pleasantly surprised at how quickly it delievered and for the console having been in pretty good shape alongnside getting a free game out of it. The only downside about this console is that its a japanese ps3 meaning the button layout isnt the typical layout from american ps3's which is pretty annoying and from what ive seen online, the only workaround to fixing this is to jailbreak the console for some reason which im not a fan of doing. Other than that, i had no issues with it. Worked fine, booted fine, and controller works. Time to relive the glory days :D ... show more

    • Too much $$ for what it is
I mainly bought this to be able to play my old PS1 & PS2 games (this particular one will NOT play PS2 games, by the way). So far it seems to be working ok, looks acceptably clean,.... came with a pretty cheap wired controller,... all in all,.. $200?? If I had it to do all over again, I think I’d just take my chances on ordering one classified as “used” for $100. I mean come on, for $200 they could have at least thrown in 2 of the Bluetooth controllers (that I also ordered for $10 each) and seem surprisingly well made.     • The PS3 works as expected - the controller isn't great
I purchased this, and the PS3 Super Slim works as expected. I needed to update the system software to use the Store. The case has some minor surface scuffs. I received this in a generic brown cardboard box, with a good amount of air bubble packaging. It included: * a seemingly new TTX Tech Wired USB Controller, * a composite AV cable, and * a power cable. There was no documentation or HDMI cable (the original PS3 also didn't include an HDMI cable). The controller feels cheap and I have a feeling it won't last long with any real use, and it's not wireless, and it also seems to lack vibration. Overall this is good if you want a used, 'sort of like-new' PS3 with plenty of storage, but expect to buy a new controller if you don't already have one. ... show more

Always a bit worried about refurbished items. Purchased for a teen who wanted to play her old games. Had my console savvy son test it out, worked perfectly. Gifted in May, have had no problems so far, four months in.

    • Not worth $300
As a “renewed” product, we’re not at all pleased. The machine is pretty scuffed up, was sent with the wrong power cord, and has problems shutting off (it randomly turns itself back on after shutdown, whether a system shutdown or a cold shutdown). The gate is also way too sensitive. If it’s even lightly touched, it will blitz the game or just fully restart. Not happy that it was shipped via the post office, either. I won’t be doing this sort of purchase again, especially from this vendor. ... show more
