I can't tell the difference. The only thing that is different is the box,other than that , it is like new. Works great and I even had it fall off a dresser onto a hardwood floor a few days ago and it bounced rite back up and started playing itself!! Lol. Didn't harm it at all , built tough.     • Great Deal but Had to Make Adjustments
Buying reconditioned was a great deal but it was not in amazing shape when it got here. The entire console was very dirty and had scratches. The back where the HDMI cord goes in was warped as well. My husband was able to straighten it out. He said it looked like an angry parent/user had jerked it away from the wall and the cords had bent it. ... show more

I received my PlayStation while in the pandemic and was ecstatic for 2 years, until recently it was going strong unfortunately i had to fully disassemble it and reapply thermal paste and clean all the heat syncs due to overheating so bad it would turn itself off after 20 minutes. but if that is the worst that can happen after 2 years of use and being dropped off a table I will say I am a happy customer. if you plan on installing more than 3 big games on it then you should also plan on expanding the storage due to new games nearing 200gb. the disc drive is nice to have but almost seems unnecessary now adays as streaming platforms and game downloads become more popular. ... show more
