    • Beyond unsatisfactory!
Console arrived looking as if it was dragged through a sawdust pile. The door to insert game was scotch taped shut, obviously because it would not stay shut. The console never worked and outside was trashed beyond used cosmetic wear. All this for a total of 109.00. I am not happy at having to take time to repack, drive uptown and then wait in line at ups store to ship. I dislike having to return things, twicefold when it's due to a seller knowingly shipping garbage. ... show more

For a while, I've been wanting to own a PlayStation 2 just so I can go back and relive the nostalgia with the games I've played growing up, and when I finally got it I was absolutely filled with joy to have the console in my hands for the first time in nearly a decade. As far as the console itself went, it looked to be in really good shape. I did have to disassemble the console since it looked very dirty on the inside, but after spending some time cleaning it up it has worked wonders so far. The controller works fine, just the D-Pad can be a bit unresponsive to where I have to press down pretty hard on the right one specifically if I'm trying to tweak some settings in-game or on the system in general. Good thing I ordered a extra controller as a backup. So far, so good when it comes to the PS2. Hasn't given me any problems, especially since I had to disassemble it to give it a good cleaning. This console has been really fun to play games on. It's sleek and has a great design. You can play PS2 games and PS1 games on it. One thing that bothers me is that in the manual it says that it doesn't play some games right. I tried playing a baseball game for PS2 and it didn't work when up to bat. PS1 baseball games work okay though. I still gave the console 5 stars . Also you need a PS1 memory card to save PS1 games. ... show more

4 stara is only because the packaging was a little wonky and the controller didn't function well (pressing some buttons automatically triggers others, suggesting a mechanical issue.) But the system arrived early with everything included, and since I haven't contacted the company about a replacement, I can't get too upset. Model number was a little older than I'd hoped for, but since the model number wasn't included in the description, I can't fault the seller for that. I bought this 3 days ago and I already received it! The packaging was wrapped so nicely and with such care. I've been using the ps2 for about an hour now and have not had any issues or complaints yet. The controller was a little dinged up, but it works just fine.     • Came in the mail cracked!
I love the PS2. It has games that give me childhood nostalgia (talking about you Kingdom Hearts). When my first PS2 broke down I was devastated and at the time (early 2017) I thought there would be no more PS2's or people would sell them for so much money that I wouldn't be able to live in my place without running into rent problems. Then comes Amazon, I go online search up some PS2's and I find one for a reasonably good price and without hesitation I order it. I wait a few days and then I get a package in the mail but something looked off. There was a huge tear in the packaging and I got very scared. I carefully opened up the package and slid out the PS2 and found out that there was a HUGE crack that led to exposure of the hardware inside the PS2. I was LIVID, firstly I just got the damn thing in the mail and its ALREADY damaged when there was no indication on the Amazon post saying it was damaged. I went and messaged the sellers and told them the situation and they didn't care since they had already got my money for it. The PS2 itself works alright, but with that crack and how the sellers did nothing to help me with what happened, I give this rating a 1 star and if I could I would make it a 0 star rating. ... show more

I was looking for a great condition ps2 slim. I had one as a kid and I really missed it. Came across this gem from a third party seller that offered prime shipping. Had little to no scratches, completely dust free, and all original hardware packaged very well. Came with an original Sony ps2 controller, memory card, original av cable, and the power cable and brick. Did not come in it’s original box but I was never looking for the original box anyway.
